I am thinking of buying a Macbook Air M2 base model. I am not a huge multitasker and usually close all applications which are not currently in use and just reopen them later and i prefer to do it this way. I want to play Minecraft occasionally on high settings and a render distance of 12. I also want to use medium quality shaders. Is 8gb ram enough to maintain constant 60fps or will it start feeding into swap?

I had just recently built a new computer with a 4060ti (8gb) everything was running perfectly fine i would run valorant on 350-450 fps but just yesterday i was running it on 150 fps. Its not just valorant aswell, Destiny 2 I was running 150 fps but now im running it on 75-50 fps. I have no idea how this was caused and its scaring me because i fear that my gpu can break any day now.

I recently upgraded my GC to a Gigabyte 3070 8GB Gaming OC, only to later realize I am getting short on its VRAM with maxed out settings on some newer games. Being a Chip level repair tech myself I couldn't help but wonder if we can replace the 1GB chips to 2GB chips and tweaking the BIOS effectively doubling the VRAM. I found a guy who did exactly the same and was successful, but he did it 2 years ago and he faced some issues with the bios. I couldn't find any further development after him. I would love to know if there are any Modders in the community that did or want to pursue this goal for their GPU. Attaching the links I found below, if someone can understand Russian please help me translate his G-Drive and find this updated bios for me. Thanks. https://www.tomshardware.com/news/16gb-rtx-3070-mod https://www.pcgamer.com/modder-gives-rtx-3070-a-16gb-upgrade-before-nvidia-has-the-chance/ link to his youtube video: He also has done the same for many other cards if you check his page. Basically title. I wanted to upgrade my RAM from 4gb to 8GB. The original 4gb is Pc3 12800u. The one I ordered in addition from A-Tech was a PC3-12800. When I tried putting them in together and turned on the machine, it would beep 5 times and then start to blow the fans really hard. I would get nothing on the screen. Please help.

i have a acer spin 3 2020 with an i3 1005g1 and 8gb of ram. my issue is every time i play minecraft it crashes the whole windows os and freezes it and i cant control alt delete or anything, the only way for me to unfreeze it is by turning it off and back on. i already contacted acer about it and sent it in but all they did was download the drivers again and send it back and it still crashed. so i have since contacted them again and i am gonna send it back but i was just wondering if anyone has an idea on what could be causing these crashes. thanks!

Hello. I wish to upgrade my memory and get another 8 gb of ram, so I started looking for the same ram that my computer came with. I believe I've found the same one, but there are some small discrepancies, like the number being (17) instead of (19), and the one i have having the number "10401233" while the other having "10400268". I have searched for a bit trying to find the exact same one, but this is the closed one i could find. I read multiple reviews online saying that people in my situation have had the same result, but i just came on here to double check. Thanks in advance. Amazon link to memory i want to buy: ADATA DDR4 2666 8GB Single Tray at Amazon.com The attached image is the one that i currently have.

Hello, First of all here are the specs of the laptop. I know its not much and don't have the money to upgrade. i5 7300HQ 2.5GHz turbo 3.08GHz GTX 1050 4GB 8GB DDR4 120GB Samsung 840 EVO Windows 256GB ADATA SU800NS38 on which is the call of duty installed The mouse is Logitech g502 Hero and I have uninstalled Logitech G hub. Antivirus is Bitdefender Total Security tried using automatic profiles (Game profile) but no difference. OS: Windows 10 Pro 64bit Internet is over COAX: https://www.speedtest.net/result/10703365786 I need someone to help me diagnose the bad FPS on my laptop. When the game came out I had stable 60 FPS but now its all over the place. Now its from 50 FPS dipping to 40, 20 even 15-10 fps with micro stutters and I really don't know what to do anymore. How can I test my ssds? I think that the Adata SSD could be the problem maybe its not reading and writing at proper speed or something like that. These are the things I did already twice (It's driving me crazy): Fresh windows 10 pro 64bit install (up-to-date). All drivers are up-to-date (CPU, Chipset, BIOS, GPU etc.) Followed this video: Here are the screens of the in-game graphics settings and also some gameplay screens so you can see the FPS:

I am planning to add more RAM into my PC which already has 2 DDR4 Goldkey 4GB DDR4 PC2400 CL15 installed in it in Dual Channel. I have 2 more available slots to add more RAM and I believe my motherboard supports up to 32GB of RAM. I was wondering which kind of RAM I have to buy, can I add 1 stick of 8GB of ram into any slot available in my motherboard or do I have to buy 2x4GB sticks of RAM?

So I Heard That We Could Disable One Out of Two GPU's On a R9 295x2. I Am Just Looking For Some More Details On How Exactly To Do so And If I Do It Will I Loose Any Performance And Can i Overclock it? And Yes I Have the 295x2 That Comes In The Fancy Briefcase With a Factory Water Cooler

Made an account just for this. Any kind of help will be appreciated. Back when Haswell was released, we got a new PC with no GPU. Later on we got a Sapphire R9 280 3GB DUAL-X to game on it. Weeeeell it's still in use now and I actually got my hands on a "mined to death" XFX RX 580 GTS 8GB to try and revive. I know how a dead card behaves, so I wanted to try installing it in my PC to see what to do later. There's an LED above the 8-pin connector which glows red when no 8-pin power is inserted, and blue when everything is working as expected (found that out in the manual). Whenever I plug in the 8-pin into the 580 and turn the PC on, the LED on the 580 blinks red for a split second, making the same sound a power cycle makes, and then nothing happens. No post screen, no fans running in the PC, no peripherals running. As if the PC had no power. My suspicion is on the PSU, which I will explain how after I state my specs: CPU: i5-4460, Motherboard: GIGABYTE B85M-DS3H, RAM: 2x 8GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600MHz, Storage: 1x Seagate Barracuda 1TB, 1x Seagate Barracuda 320GB, PSU: An included Cooler Master RS-500-PCAR-I3 Now the power supply only has 1x 6-pin connector on the 12V rail, and the other 12V has three Molex daisy-chained. I run the R9 280 by plugging in the 1x 6-pin and using a molex to 6-pin for the other 6-pin. It works fine. For the 580, I had to get a 2x 6-pin to 8-pin which in theory should work. And afaik, the 580 has a lower TDP than the 280. I don't understand why that could be an issue. Also both 12V rails have 20A support so that should be fine too. Weird problem, so any kind of help is fine. Sorry for the long post and no formatting.

Hey there I'll try to keep this question short, I'm planning to upgrade my PC however I'm conflicted into two paths, and I don't know which to choose I've got an old case with usb 2.0 ports which I kind off want to replace at some point The game I'm looking forward to play is Cyberpunk 2077 and I'd like to have a smooth experience at 1080p 75hz with high-medium settings, I finished RDR2 with my current build but I had to search through websites and reddit forums so I could have a decent experience while also making the game look acceptable even though the game was optimized poorly but you get the point. Also I want to get into VR at some point later in the future and try out Half Life Alyx and Boneworks I've found a 1070 at ebay at around 210€ (plus shipping) which seems like a decent deal to me and an upgrade from my 970 However I also thought about building a new PC from scratch while keeping my GPU and PSU, I know that the newest Ryzen CPU's will launch in a few days but sadly it's off my budget right now and while budget GPU's (1660, 1660super and ti) right now don't impress me either, I think the used 1070 is a good deal but I might be wrong for now many games still require the i7-3770 as their recommended CPU with some exceptions (for example I see the 4790k used a lot) Thank you in advance! New Parts i'm looking for: CPU:AMD Ryzen 5 2600X Mobo:Gigabyte Aorus B450 M RAM:16GB RAM Case:Aerocool Cylon Black and a random M.2 NVME drive (all around they cost like 350€) PC Parts I have: CPU: I7-3770 (non k) GPU:GTX 970 RAM:8GB mobo:asus p8h61-m lx3 plus r2.0 PSU:Corsair VS550 (not the best psu around, but it's good for now however I'm thinking of replacing it) Storage: 2 HDD's 1 boot SSD Budget (including currency): 440€ Country: Greece Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Cyberpunk 2077, VR, slight editing on the side with Premiere/Vegas as a hobby and some photoshop

I want to add additional 8GB ram to my 8GB Corsair vengeance DDR4 2400Mhz. I was thinking to buy Corsair vengeance 8GB DDR4 3000Mhz. If I do so, will it run in dual channel mode? (I know both will run at 2400Mhz) I've read on several forums that rams not bought in a dual pack can cause instability in the system. My motherboard- Gigabyte h110 Should I go for it?

Hello all! I have had my beloved laptop for about three years now. It is a Dell Inspiron Gaming 7567, one that LTT actually did a video on. For any of you not familiar, the specs are as follows: CPU: Intel Core i5 7300HQ GPU: Nvidia GTX 1050ti RAM: Dell (OEM) 8gb DDR4 2400Mhz Storage: 1TB OEM Toshiba 5400RPM HDD I added a 256Gb Samsung 970 Evo NVME SSD a year later. Although this is not the highest end system even from the time, it was what I had the budget for and has served all of my different school, gaming, and musical production needs perfectly, although, sometimes certain Chrome things eat all the ram, but I have like 30 tabs open at one time. (Don't judge!) Recently, however, I had updated and played some of my games, COD: MW to be specific, and my PC lagged and stuttered at the lowest settings at 1080p. Of course, I do know that the minimum requirements are 8gb RAM for the game. This laptop's MOBO supports up to 32GB SODIMM RAM at 3200Mhz. With that in mind, should I upgrade my RAM and fulfill both DIMMS for dual channel? Or is my computer too underpowered to the point where it isn't worth adding anything else to it? If I should, how much RAM should I install, and what clock speed? I know that I could upgrade to a better system, but I want to hold off until I get to my next step in life where I'll most likely need a totally different type of PC, or even a desktop for that matter. Anyways, thanks for the input! I want to make this machine last as long as it can!

I am helping a friend, specs are A8 9600 with NVidia GTX 660 and using a single channel 8GB 1333mhz, planning to stream mobile games so considering this, a Mirroring software will be opened + chrome and an AlertBox will be active in the OBS software. Now, we've tried a couple of test streams with this settings output resolution: 1280x720, FPS@30, Downscale filter: Bilinear, Encoder: x264, Bitrate: 2000, Keyframe interval: 2, CPU usage: very high, internet connection is good but still stream hiccups are all over the place.. is upgrading RAM to 16GB 2666mhz the solution to this? or will a single 8GB 2666mhz be enough to rid of some stream hiccups?

I have an acer laptop with 8gb ram installed, but for some reason it only shows 3.2 gb usable. I am running 64 bit windows 10. I've tried unchecking the boxes in msconfig to no avail, and I tried enabling memory remapping in my BIOS, but that setting isn't present in the BIOS on this laptop. I have swapped the two 4gb sticks in the motherboard which didn't fix the problem either, so I guess it is possible that I have a faulty mobo which in that case there isn't really a solution to the problem. I included some screenshots below to explain the situation. If anyone knows anything else that it could be can you please help me, thanks.
