I'm looking for a 32" 4K panel with 144hz or above refresh rate, HDR & G-Sync. Not interested in curved displays. Something in the price range of the Samsung Odyssey G7 would be great. I'm not particular about panel type, though I'm coming from an IPS for what it's worth. Bring on the suggestions.

Just received the Aorus Fv43U monitor and after a few minutes, no matter if I'm in a game or on the desktop the screen goes all static like snow on an old CRT. I've updated my driver's, both windows and in GeForce experience. I've tried plugging in my Nintendo Switch, still does it. Tried other cables, hdmi and DP. Reset the settings, updated the firmware on the monitor. Powering off for 15 seconds will make it go away but only for a minute or 2. The monitor is not excessively hot. Neither is the gpu or processor. At a loss and it's Saturday so I can't call Gigabyte. Really hoping I don't have to return this. If it helps I have a gigabyte rtx 3070 gpu

Hello, I am looking for a 4k monitor 32" inch, for screen recording (to upload videos to youtube in 4k), video editing (Adobe Premiere Pro) and video games. I have an Nvidia Asus Rog RTX 3090 OC graphics card, but I don't have enough money to buy an ASUS PG32UQX monitor. I don't like 27" inch monitors (because they are too small). Kindly, can someone help me and suggest a valid alternative? I am from Italy. Thank you!

My Budget is 80,000 INR which is around 1100 USD. Can push it to 90,000 INR (1200) if needed. I have 2 types of laptops in mind, first is a 4k UHD display with low graphics power, or a 1440p QHD (2k) display with midrange graphics. I am a designer/animatior, and I also play games, but I have a Pc with an i5 + 1660ti in it, so GPU is not my priotiry, but is nice to have. In the 2k display laptops, I am not looking for AMD's GPUs, because some AI apps like waifu2x and Nvidia Voice doesn't work with AMD's GPUs. Only Nvidia. Thanks!

Hello there, i was looking for some help with RX580. What is the Problem with the card, yeah if it is the card i actually don't know but what is the Problem, when i use my Computer normally everything seems okay (sometimes). If i start any 3D based Game sooner or later my screen gets black for a couple of seconds and then shows me the game again. Yesterday i played Valorant on 4k but then it suddenly Froze with the error message "Graphics Driver stopped working" and my entier PC Froze. I thought it was the Driver so i installed the same driver again. I think it its named AMD Radeon Adrenalin Driver, but it is on version: 20.11.2. (Note: I tried earlier version of this driver and it still doesn't work) But not everytime it gets a black screen sometimes it stutters in Windows with no Programm open and not rarely anymore my screen gets filled with dark and lime green lines and i need to unplug and plug in the HDMI cable im using (I use the XBOX Series X 4k rated HDMI cable to ensure it isn't the cable, but i tried many 4k rated cables and still the same error but not as often with the XBox cable). The lines arent always lime green and dark green stacked on top of each other ther are also, red and gey lines and in a checkerboard pattern brown and yellow lines. For Helping Reasons here are my specs: AMD Ryzen 7 2700X No OC Corsair vengeance 16GB on 3200MHZ No OC Radeon RX580 Armor 8GB OC Edition with no additional OC added Windows 10 Pro 64 Bit Version 20H2 Samsung Crystal UHD 43 inch TV (i know its a TV no comments about it please)

Budget (including currency): £... the required amount to achieve the goal without being silly & however long it takes to make the loot. Country: UK Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Moderately Heavy Gaming / Audio Recording & Video Editing / Movies, TV, & Comics / Basic Office Plebbery Preliminary Details: This is a custom build project that I'm able to take my time with, as opposed to a "my pc just died and I need something now" panic build. I have a machine, it's falling behind a bit these days though, so it's time to think about a next gen replacement before it gets to the point where I wish I'd started it sooner and find myself in the machineless or potato machine category still buying parts for the replacement. As it's gotta do all the things to some degree or another, I will NOT be cheaping out on components but don't intend gettting too crazy either... I don't think I need a threadripper or other similarly insane top end kit, even though we would all like that kinda gear - I don't have any children to sell and I think my brother & his wife might miss their own son if he went missing... So, time and the saving of loot have been, and will continue to be in play so that the remaining options of selling body parts or becoming indentured won't be necessary : ) The main focus of this post: I would like some information and advice on adequate GPU selection for driving SIX displays at 4k with a min refresh rate of 60Hz... (or other resolution / refresh rate combos depending on the numerous variables but NEVER less than 1080 / 60Hz & always the best possible) Display details and use case below: 3x displays at 27" (16:9) 4k 1x display at 32" (16:9) 4k portrait orientation 1x display at approx 80" (16:9) - 4k projector 1x display at 49" (32:9) super-ultrawide Gaming will happen in one of the following scenarios at any given time, depending on social situation, game choice, display options available, and preferred display experience: On a Single Display - either the super-ultrawide or the 4k projector. Across 3 displays - the triple 27" display array. GPU requirements for work activities, like video editing and rendering or 3d modelling, tend to allow you to specify a GPU for the task at hand in their settings / options. Windows for these tasks will be spread across various displays as needed. General office plebbery and entertainment like streaming youtube, watching movies & tv (either streaming or from local drive), & reading comics obviously doesnt put much pressure on the GPU at all so theres nothing to worry about there. The crux of this post that I would like the input for: So, with the new cards being able to push a maximum of 7680 x 4320 total resolution, which is 33,177,600 pixels (33 million, 177 thousand, 600 pixels)... That's a little over whats needed for 3 displays at 4k, or 3840 x 2160 x 3, which is 24,883,200 pixels (24 million, 883 thousand, 200 pixels). Nvidia cards are able to handle 4 displays total, use GDDR6X VRAM, & have different VRAM capacities across the range. AMD cards are able to handle more displays, use GDDR6 VRAM, & the RX6800, RX6800XT, & RX6900XT all have 16GB VRAM. Each have their own features and technologies to deliver the goods we crave for the things we wanna do and seem fairly comparable in ability. My display requirements and intended use case is stated above. My question is this: What GPU should I opt for to achive the goal? They MUST have a waterblock available for that model but don't necessarily have to have the waterblocks preinstalled. Can manage that meself if the best choice doesn't have a preinstalled waterblock option. Since they're all impossible for normal people to obtain right now anyway, I've just been researching and saving a bit of loot for the final choice while buying other less expensive parts along the way. It's proving to be a little tricky to work out as there are a lot of conflicting opinions on multiple GPU use, the pros & cons, non SLI / crossfire use cases, SLI / crossfire use cases, etc. It seems like most, if not all of those using or asking about using more than 3 or 4 monitors aren't using any of them for moderately heavy gaming as well as for work... so don't require the beefy GPU performance that gaming requires. Other Intended System Hardware Details: Liquid cooled with 2 separate loops... the GPU and CPU loops separated mainly for aesthetics and symmetry reasons. Custom case to accomodate required component positioning for that delicious symmetry. Definitly able to stand on a desk or shelf, possibly also able to be wall mounted. G.Skill Trident Royal Silver RGB RAM - probably something like 64GB at 3600 c16 or better if reasonably priced. Ryzen Processor - the best I can afford thats not a threadripper. Asus Xonar Essence STX II 7.1 Soundcard & Daughter-Board. MoBo choice will depend on the CPU and PCIe slot arrangement: potentially needs to accommodate 2 GPU cards, PLUS a soundcard with 2 boards (only 1 needs PCIe connection). PSU selection will depend on final GPU selection power needs + other hardware power requirements but I'm leaning towards 1200w gold / platinum rated or better. CPU Waterblock 2x Distro Plates or Manifolds - one for each loop. 2x Cylindrical Reservoirs - one for each loop. 2x EK CryoFuel colours - one colour for each loop. Arctic MX-4 Thermal Paste. Any and all required cables & cable extensions. Existing parts available / already purchased for the project: 2x EKWB Quantum Inertia D5 PWM D-RGB Plexi Pumps 2x Alphacool NexXxoS XT45 X-Flow 420mm Copper Radiators 6x Corsair QL140 RGB Fans + Lighting Node Core 2x Noctua NF-P14 Fans Approx. 24 Brass G1/4 Hardline Fittings + 2 x Drain Ports 2x Brass G1/4 Soft Tubing Fittings & Soft Tubing (only used for draining during maintenance) 1x Sabrent 1TB M.2 SSD 2x Samsung 1TB Evo SSD's + data & power cables Keyboard & Mouse PS3 Controller, Cable, & Bluetooth USB adapter Various Displays Other USB Devices DP 1.4 Cables HDMI 2.1 Cables Tools I think I've covered just about everything that springs to mind right now regarding details for this project. Thanks in advance to anyone & everyone for any & all information / help making a final decision about GPU's. Korbargh

Hi there, I have some concerns regarding cleaning my LG 4K monitor. Although I do know that LG recommends cleaning the monitor and displays with lint free microfiber cloths but I need to ask a question. I have been blowing loose dust particles off my display myself, (blowing air by my mouth, being careful about not spitting) and been doing that since months. Suddenly I realized if I would be introducing moisture but I talked to the LG live agent and they assured that as long as I'm not using liquid directly onto the screen, I would be fine. But I'm really concerned about this and wanted to talk to a product specialist. Can you pleasure if I didn't do any real damage to screen. Please try to understand my concern and guide me properly

Looking to upgrade my monitor and thought i might as well ball out. My question is, in terms of colour accuracy, HDR, and overall display which one is better? I don't really care about the Hz or response time. Thanks all

Laptop doubling as all-in-one "console"?
ejfr4nc1sc0 posted a topic in Laptops and Pre-Built Systems
Hello all, I've been scouring the Internet endlessly for a solution to my (somewhat peculiar) setup. I currently have a Lenovo Yoga 710-15IKB that sports an i5-7200U with only a micro-HDMI port for output. I currently use this laptop for work/school, but when not working I leave it plugged in to the wall and the TV as a portable 'console' of some sort, because it runs emulation and game streaming via Moonlight for more intensive games. However, I have a 4K TV, and the HDMI port on my laptop only supports 4K at 30Hz. Here's where my problem comes in. I'm worried that leaving my laptop charging for so long will affect my battery's lifespan, even when I have it set to stop charging at 80%, rather than fully charging every time. Also, I'd prefer native 4K output to use my TV at its fullest potential. My questions are: will my laptop decrease in battery lifespan faster when leaving it plugged in when not working/studying? How can I bring 4K to my laptop (the CPU supports 4K60 through DisplayPort)? If the previous is not possible, should I build/buy an SFF HTPC for my use-case (less emulation power is okay, but HEVC support is preferred), or would it be smarter to just deal with 1080p and upgrade the laptop when necessary? -
Damn my head is gonna explode now, what a mess is type-c and all of it's alternate modes. I have a laptop with Kaby Lake R (no thunderbolt only type-c 3.1) and all video ports go through intel hd620. Dedicated HDMI on board is only 1.4, but I need to connect via HDMI to my TV with 4k 60hz HDR . So I bought two cables: type-c to DP cable (for tests) and a type-c to hdmi cable with PS176 LSPCON from parade. So 4k 60 HDR is works fine with DP on my monitor with 4:4:4 subsampling, but with hdmi cable HDR doesn't show up and subsampling looks to be as low as 4:2:0 or 4:2:2. Is there any chance to get it working with HDMI with another cable and different LSPCON, or i'm out of luck here?

is the display brightness of 250 Nits enough? So I watched one of the Ltt video I think it was short circuit. And was impressed how good Samsung m7 monitor are for cheap 4K, 60fps, Samsung display etc. But with one caveat it has just 250 nits. Idk if I should buy it or not

Good evening all, I was helping my Dad set up a workstation and he ordered a PC from Dell with a RX 5600. He only uses the PC for emails and Internet and nothing that requires much work from the GPU. For a bit now he has been using two 4K monitors and liked them so much he bought a third. But the third monitor only shows a mad resolution of 1080p. Is this a limitation of the GPU or is something else off? Thanks for any help!

Hi, I am wondering if anyone has the Acer 4K CB282K Monitor and if they know if it is G-Sync compatible? I know it is a FreeSync monitor but was wondering if anyone has had luck with Nvidia Cards. I plan on buying the monitor used and see a good deal - if anyone know if Adaptive sync works with Nvidia Cards then I am going to pull the string and buy it. Thanks!

First Build, Roughly 2500$, "Future Proof", Help!
Plantson posted a topic in New Builds and Planning
Budget (including currency): 2720$ (3000-(830-550(msrp)) Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Solidworks and 3d printing, VR and 4k-gaming, 4k movies, tower speakers and subwoofers. Hello, building my first PC. Can spend up to 3000$, and looks like that'll happen because I just spent 830$ (760+tax and shipping) for a scalped ryzen 5900x. That was a lot of money, but I need a new computer, and based on my needs: I can afford a new max budget of 2720$ (3000-(830-550(msrp)). I was trying for weeks to win it on the LTT Verified Actual Gamer Program, but slept on the big day. Looked into buying a gaming/server/maybe-using-gpu-to-mine mini PC on AVADirect.com in order to rip out the GPU and build this tower, but their rtx 3080 prices were not very close to msrp at all. Let me know if you know any other "system integrator" like that who'll let you choose from so many brands and parts in any build. After accepting my position, I decided just to pay the stupid premium on the CPU and borrow a friends GPU until this shortage is over. Hopefully for his sake that's ASAP, but it doesn't look like he'll need it for anything in particular. That brings me here. I have a CPU and I'm borrowing a GPU until markets stabilize. My philosophy is that I want to get the best I can right now and maintain it to last as long as possible. This way I'll be able to run anything I want for years to come without any upgrades. I do care about noise, but airflow/temp and dust-proofing are more important to me for longevity reasons. Thinking about adding sound dampening foam to the case side panels, and possibly a little bit of extra filter material for dust. What do you think about those ideas? I thought about water cooling, but I like the simplicity, price, and longevity of air. I want to avoid RGB and disregard aesthetics- except for the case. I just chose the PCU based on the LTT PCU tier list: A tier: gold black and blue standards, and case compatibility. I'm focusing on solidworks/CAD performance and gaming/VR capability. Would my storage solution be the best option for CAD/gaming? I plan on just putting whatever programs should be quick in the NVME boot drive, and everything else (probably just a large music/movie library) on the HDD. I like the idea of connecting a 1440Hz=<, 4k TV or monitor for gaming (any game, really) and movies, as well as analog tower/sub speakers. The networking speeds are also important to me because I'm a big Rocket League guy, and their servers aren't the best. I can't think of anything else to help inform you of my needs. Let me know if you have any questions! Thanks for reading, and any help! So, searching on Google is terrible as you get lots of generic troubleshooting stuff where the monitor just doesn't turn on, or it's plugged into the integrated graphics, etc etc. So, I have one PG27UQ that works just fine, I can set it to 4k 144hz and it flips over no problem. The other PG27UQ I have, if I try to do the same thing, or just anything over 4k, it just flips to a black screen. Doesn't say no signal, the backlight is still on, there's just no image. Swapping displayport cables between the two makes no difference, the first one can still do 144hz and the second one still can't do anything higher than 60hz. Any help?

Hello everyone, first time writing here, nice to meet you. I'm in a bit of a pickle with two main questions and a story. After all those ads, Top X ranking etc. I've decided to finally jump into 4k 144hz and bought LG 27GN950-B about 4 months ago and well... On the first one, DP broke after exactly one month (exactly 1st to 1st of the next month). Monitor was being detected by windows but the display was black, the integrated menu stuck showing 0Hz (HDMI worked fine). Sent it to my local LG and after 1,5 months and some back and forth, got a reply that They don't have highend enough PC to test the monitor, 60hz works and I will get a new one - fine. Got the new one, DP immediately had artifacts, I've updated the firmware just to be sure - no change. Sent to LG again. Half a month - received the same unit with "fixed DP connections". EXACTLY to a second - one month of using after that... The same issue as the first replaced monitor. DP output suddenly died. Windows sees monitor just fine, menu shows 0Hz. Resetting any display settings does not help. I have tried DDU and other things but I am pretty sure that's not my PC's fault (both monitors worked fine for a month. I can post pc specs if that's relevant). TLDR; - Has anyone else had/heard about issues with that monitor? I was looking around a bit and found lack of such issues online. Am I the unluckiest person in my region to have all LG replacements break on me? - What are good 4k 144hz GSync/GSync-compatible alternatives for this monitor around the same price (maybe $100-200 more if necessary)? I can replace it again but to be honest I feel done with LG for the time being. And I hope for a refund. I don't care for HDR. Had some issues with Nvidia Shadowplay and HDR but I am open to revisit the idea of HDR. I am aware of Acer Predator series and some Asus ROG Strix monitors at 4k 144hz but found no comprehensive comparison between all those models and the 27GN950-B. Thank you for your help

My problem and use case are likely too niche for an easy solution, though I'll certainly accept one if presented. I'm also curious about how to diagnose this issue and what solutions or issues I may have overlooked. BLUF: Using two TVs as monitors. Powerful, modern GPU. 1st monitor displays correctly: 4K@120Hz. Windows will not offer refresh rates above 30Hz for the 2nd monitor no matter what resolution combination I pick (Currently at 4K@30Hz). Want to achieve 4K@120(1st monitor) and 4K@60(2nd monitor) Previous setup had 2 1080p TVs @60Hz without issue. Cable for second monitor is Displayport to HDMI but advertised at correct (4K@60Hz) speed. Glitches occur reliably unless a certain TV option is selected on 2nd monitor. Saw success for 4 days straight before returning to glitches. Trying to diagnose issue or find workable solution. Issue: Windows displays the second monitor at 4K 30Hz and will not offer the option to display my second monitor at 4K, 60Hz, no matter what framerate the primary monitor is set to. I'm trying to determine what combination of cables and settings will allow me to run my main monitor at 4K 120Hz and my second monitor at 4k 60Hz, or as close to that as possible, and why I can only do so sometimes. Relevant Setup info: GPU: AMD Radeon 6800 XT (specifically the Sapphire Nitro+ SE model) Monitor 1: Hisense 55U7G connected via HDMI (GPU) to HDMI (TV) Monitor 2: Hisense 50H8G connected via DP (GPU) to HDMI (TV) Insignia™ 10' DisplayPort to HDMI Cable Black NS-PCDPHD10 - Best Buy OS: Windows 10 Build 21H2 As my list indicates, my "monitors" are in fact smart TVs. I use them with the Wifi turned off because no one makes dumb TVs any more, especially not 4K ones. My PC serves as the entertainment center for my house and sees use for gaming as well as streaming and everything else. I sit on the couch instead of a computer chair and use two TVs instead of a desk + monitors. The two TVs only feature HDMI ports (rated at HDMI 2.0 for the secondary monitor and a mix of 2.1 and 2.0 for the primary) while my GPU features 1 HDMI port, 2 DVI ports, and a USB-C output. Both TVs, Windows, and Radeon all have the latest updates available. The connection between the GPU and Primary monitor works flawlessly. No questions asked 4K @ 120Hz. It's the second monitor, connected via DP to HDMI cable, that gives me issue. I have used the TV previously for displaying 4K @ 60Hz, so I know it is capable of doing so. Both of the TVs offer the option to switch between Standard and Enhanced HDMI formats, and this is where I begin to have problems. Primary Monitor requires enhanced HDMI format to move past 4K @60Hz. As such, I leave it on enhanced format and 4K @ 120Hz resolution in Windows. If the Secondary monitor has Enhanced HDMI mode selected, the computer suffers sever graphical issues, best described as hiccups or driver resets. Every few seconds the primary monitor will show a black screen and then show the correct display a moment later. While this occurs, the secondary monitor shows only a black screen. This problem goes away when I move the secondary monitor to "Standard HDMI" format. From there, Windows only offers 30 Hz refresh rates, no matter what resolution I select (4K, 1440p, 1080p, etc). Once the original crashes have been addressed, I can toggle the HDMI format back and forth on the secondary monitor, but Windows will not offer a 60Hz refresh rate. There was a 4-day period where the setup worked perfectly: 4K@120 on one TV, 4K@60 on the other. I thought I'd solved it. As of 20NOV the problems returned and nothing I can do seems to alleviate it so I am asking for help here. What am I doing wrong, and is there any hope or obvious solution to get things how I want them to be, and how they should theoretically be? I'll update this post with more information as requested.

Hello guys! I hope you are all having a great day. I am in a search for a new TV that would be used for movies and for next gen gaming in the foreseeable future. I don't want to blow my wallet up with an OLED as you imagined from the budget. I think that the HDMI 2.1 is hard to find in this price range, in addition of a good panel with great colors. Have you got any options about me? I live in Greece. Thank you in advance!
