ok, so basicly I just build my new computer (yay) the 450d in my opignion was a great case with plenty of room for my system (just look in my user thigny) with room for more. it has a quite easy to use magnatic dust filter system. although it has its issues. first, the front mesh is quite open and gets quite some dust in the front because of the 2 140mm intakes. although it makes for a really good look with the red led AF140 that iv put there. though I found something a little less usefull when I built my system. first, the hdd cages are quite flimzy. they are ok but could (should) have a screw that could hold them more firmly to the front. In addition to this, the toolless bays are quite easy to use. and they also have convinient holes to mount an ssd there. or a 2.5'' hdd and the fact that corsair made them offset to make the sata ports line up behind is would be awesome... if the hdd pin / holder wouldn't block the ssd from getting in position... at least they give you 2 ssd mounts on the back. as far as cable management goes, well its quite basic with the little tabs on the back to attach cables (around 4-5 of them only) other than that. at 100$ I would have hoped to see a slightly better case. although the look is amazing. was it worth it ? more or less. I give it a 8.5 out of 10 for my personal experience

hi everyone Might seem a silly question but i was wondering if I can mount an H110 (push/pull) in the front of a Corsair 450D and still be able to have the harddrivecage in place because I can't afford a huge ssd... allready got a pair of hdds... anyone have done this allready? because money's a bit tight and i don't want to waste it. allready wasted enough on this case and cooler...

Hey guys, I wanted to get a CM nepton 280l, but was not sure if it would fit in the corsair 450d as the corsair h105 has issues in that case. I want to top mount it in the 450d so what do you guys think? If you have any suggestions for any other good quality cases with high air flow that would be great. Also i could just go full tower but they usually cost abit more. Here is the build , 4790k, asus z97-a, saphire r9 290 tri-x, evga supernova g2 750. Obviously plan to overclock. thanks

Hi, I am looking for a case for the build list below, that might (and probably will) change. I originally looked at the Corsair 450D as a good case. It seemed like it was mid-ranged, but still had the great looks of the Obsidian line, and it looks very good for airflow. Now I am having doubts about it, though, and I wanted some other opinions. I would'nt like to spend more than the cost of the 450D. I really like the NZXT H440, but it doesn't look like it has good airflow, and it also doesn't have a 5.25" drive, which I would like (but I guess I could live without, worse case scenario). I also looked at the NZXT Phantom 410 and I liked it, but I wasn't jumping up and down about it. Same with the CM Storm Enforcer. Any suggestions? Build list that I might change: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/YhpCFT Feel free to leave suggestions on the rest of my build list as well. Also, I am a first time builder. Thanks very much, I hope you guys can help me out!

Hi, I am looking to build a gaming pc in the near future and am looking into what case to get. I am looking into corsair cases mostly 350d, 450d, 750d and 760t. It would be really helpful to know when and where the 450d and 760t will be released in the uk so i know whether to wait to build or go ahead now.

Hey guys! just signed up for the forums today to ask a simple question, but ill probably hang around Okay, I'm thinking of getting a Corsair Obsidian 750D. But today i saw the 450D, it seems like a good case but i'm not sure i like the front as much as the 750D. i was wondering if anyone could reply with a pic of the 750D, but with two LED fans in the front, i would just like to see if the light glows around the edge of the front panel or not. thanks guys

Hey there! So I am always looking at new cases, specially the ones that are in Black. I wanted to go with a Red/Black color scheme with my PC. I decided to settle on the Phantom 530 because it comes in black, has a nice windowed side panel (downside is a stupid little 120 fan that you can place for the HDD's which some people don't like, but meh...), easy to build in, but specially the fact that it has a 10 fan hub really drew me in! I enjoy that feature quite a lot. Meanwhile, Corsair 450D looks really good! Solid, and I've liked the Obsidan series. I really like that the front intake fans are not covered by anything and get some nice airflow unlike the 750D or 900D, but downside is of course that amazing 10 fan hub haha. In your opinion, what is the best case for less than $150 that I can get? Has to be black (maybe a coating that looks black enough), and a nice Windowed side panel (I enjoy looking inside :3) Thanks in advance!

NCIX: http://bit.ly/1iY06lw Amazon:http://georiot.co/2Qla The Obsidian 450D from Corsair packs a phenomenal amount of liquid cooling support into a relatively small and light enclosure that also happens to be so simple to build in that my wife can do it. (sorry for those of you viewing before the video goes live. It's embargoed until 6am Pacific TIme March 25th.

Guys I am in a very torn between these two Cases Corsair 450d and Fractal Design ARC Midi R2. Could you maybe give me your perspective? P.s. I do not care about water cooling options, this will be a standard build (i5, 1x SSD, 1x HDD and SLi with 560 TI, so nothing big) This is what I made up so far: Corsair 450d: +Sleek +Big window (I like) -Just a tad more expensive -7KG Fractal Design ARC Midi R2 +Seems more solid at 11Kg +Quieter fans +Better bottom filter removal -Smaller Window

So i recently moved my PC into a new home( 450D) and one of the fans makes a loud ticking noise even when im holding it so its not vibration. Anyone experienced this before? easy to fix? or should i send the fan back

I'm thinking of buying a Corsair 450D but the only thing that I'd like to change is removing the 5.25" flex bay housing, to make room for a large water reservoir. Does anyone have one of these cases and know if it's possible or even be able to upload some photos of the joins, rivets or anything else that could help? I'm willing to drill out rivets and cut to a lesser extent depending on the amount of work involved. Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks.

So i have a problem with the front 2 led's (the power led and hdd led) i cant get them both to work at the same time. there is a 2x2 arrangement of headers and only the top row seems to work for both of them, whatever i put in the bottom it doesnt work. i should mention each led cable thing takes 2 pins

Does anyone know if the corsair H105 liquid CPU cooler is compatible with Corsair 450D case?

Hey all. I was looking into getting a Corsair Obsidian 450d. It looks real nice and fits perfectly on my desk, however, along with the new case I am also looking into getting a CPU water cooling loop in. I was intiay looking at adding a H60 into the rear exhast, but would it be possible to mount a longer radiator at the top. I have a Asus P8z77-LX2 motherboard which has, higher than the rear I/O heatsinks, which are a pain and have seen them causing issues with fans on rads. So, my question is; Does anyone know whether I could add a radiator with fans in the top of a 450d without any clearance issues with my mobo? Many thanks.

Hi there, I've been looking for a new case for a long time now and I've watched/read hundreds of reviews and showcases and I have decided on 1 of 2 cases. The NZXT H440 (white) OR the Corsair obsidian 450D. I like both of these cases and i know i will be getting one of them but I am torn between the two. Can anybody help me in my petty dilemma?
-
So I am looking into a new build using a corsair 450D, my general idea is to cool the CPU first off and add a GPU after the new releases. I was just wonder if anyone had any input into rad sizes (was thinking a 360 and a 240 with low rpm fans) and brands to go with!

Can the Corsair 450D support a CD drive? It says it can but the one I have doesn't fit. Here is the link http://www.canadacomputers.com/product_info.php?cPath=3_61&item_id=065425 It could be that this CD drive is too wide but I'm not sure. I couldn't seem to fit it in the case so that could be the answer. Does anyone know if it can support a CD drive? Please tell me if this one is too large, I appreciate any help I can get. Thanks.

Hi guys I am upgrading my PC but i need your suggestions. I recently bought a new CPU Cooler (Thermalright True Spirit 140 Power), it's nice and fits my purpose. I just bought this cooler and i don't plan to change it. I have an i7 920 that is overclocked (1.240 V). The problem is that it idles at 47~49 degrees celsius and at full load with Prime95 or Intel Burn Test it stays at 78~81 degrees celsius. My current case is not the best and quite old -> Nox Myth. (Only one 140mm intake fan, One 120mm exhaust fan at back and One 230mm exhaust fan at the top). I want to buy a new case. I really like the look of the H440 and 450D. I prefer the H440 but it scares me because the airflow doesn't seem adequate for an air cooler on top of an overclocked i7. For me: 450D Pros: - Airflow. H440 Pros: - Silence. If a choose the H440 will i have problems with Temperatures? I wanted to idle around 40degrees. Thanks

Coming from a really bad Coolermaster Elite 430, the Corsair 450D was a welcome change in so many aspects and it isn't just good for the money, nor just better than my old case, It's just a good case overall. Let me start out with the good points: The case is very airflow optimized, especially for a Obsidian series case, where you look at some of the other cases in this series and they seem a lot less so with the solid front aluminium plate instead of the slotted one that you get with the 450D and it even comes with two 140mm corsair fans in the front and one 120mm fan in the rear (though these lack the colour changing rings that and the fan blade are grey not black unlike the retail versions, but for the money that you pay for the case (around £90 in the UK and $100 in the US) it's excellent that you get these fans at all, and the inclusion of dust filters on both the top bottom and front intake are all really good and well thought out for the case (I especially love the bottom dust filter that spans the whole of the bottom of the case that you take can off from either of the sides and snaps back into the position that it was in really easily). Space on the inside of the case is excellent with loads of room for expansions cards and wide motherboards that get direct airflow from the the top 140mm fan (or bottom depending where you have your hard-drive cage mounted, but more on that later) It's so roomy inside that my motherboard doesn't even reach the edge of the CPU cutout on the back of the motherboard tray! The rubber cable routing grommets are really good quality and snap back into place even after a long time in one position. Though some have had wobbly hard-drive cages that seem not as well built as the rest of the case, mine is excellent and doesn't budge at all, no matter how much you wobble it to try and make it move, and with the cage being able to be moved from the bottom of the case to underneath the optical drive bays to free up space in the bottom for a 240mm radiator without sacrificing on storage space, though you do sacrifice some space for expansion cards. Even if you remove the hard drive cage altogether you still have the two excellent 2.5" mounts on the rear of motherboard tray for a passable 2tb worth of SSD storage or if you can fit them in (as I haven't tried it) you could possibly fit in 2.5" HDD's for even more storage. Now onto the bad points: There isn't many bad points about this case but there are a few (for me at least) that I think I should mention. I think that there's not quite enough space in the back of the case for cables and I would like to see about two more cm of space just to make it that much easier, and expanding on that point, there isn't enough cable loops on the back of the tray, and from my memory there is only four in the whole case. With my motherboard (so this may be a very personal problem, and may not effect everyone, the front panel IO cables are just a little too short and only just reach for the most part, and the reset switch one was WAY too short to even reach the bottom of my motherboard, so that sits tied up at the top of my case out of the way of everything, though the cables are all back all the way up the the connector, so no colour is shown at all and it's the same for all the fans thinking about it. And the most frustrating thing about the case? The side panels can be VERY hard to close, even with the case empty. I am not sure why this occurs but more times have I opened up my case to change something or to give it a clean, I have closed the panels and have noticed about ten minutes later that there is a gap at the top or bottom where it's not closed properly and I have to re-do it again. This happens on both sides of the case so it can't just be the cables in the back and something to do with the case itself. This apparently is something that a lot of the 450D's I have read about have and I do hope that Corsair change something in the build process that fixes this problem so that more people don't have to put up with this. The final verdict: The case for me is a brilliant and the problems that I have for it could easily be ironed out by corsair in the build process. By any means, do not let the side-panel thing put you off buying the case, it's more of an annoyance than anything and you do get used to putting the panels back on in a specific way to get them right first time. 9/10! Thanks for reading, if you have any questions or feedback for me, just comment If you want any pictures of my build, let me know and I'll post some for you guys to look at. Also, if you do find any miss-spelled words please let me know, I am dyslexic and I do appreciate being let known when I have done something wrong!

I just need something that can cool my 4790k and stay pretty quiet. I'll be using an NH-U14S with all case fans replaced with NF-F12s or NF-A14s. And whatever case I get, I'll get it windowed. If the 450D will stay quiet with 2 fans in the front (and 1 or 2 in the top), I'll probably go with that. Otherwise, what do you guys think?

Does anyone know where I can get a spare cover for my 5.25 inch bay for my 450D? I got a swappable bay for HDD's for school but since its vacation now I can use it in my own pc. The bay is ugly as hell so I wanna try to mod a cover. Image of the rack is attached. Thanks in advance!

Hey guys. I was wondering if you can pull off a push pull configuration on the top portion of the obisidian 450D. I'm planning to get a Kraken X61. Hope to hear from you guys soon
