    Not enough information. What motherboard are you running, 3- or 4-pin fans?

    1080 isn't super necessary, but I'd 100% recommend an i7 if you overclock or a 4-core hyperthreaded Xeon if you don't. Platform upgrade isn't super necessary (hey, repeated text), you can pick up a used i7/Xeon for 1155 on ebay pretty cheaply.

    Unless you have literally zero spare cash, get an SSD immediately. I recommend OCZ Trion for budget, Samsung 850 EVO for slightly more money.

    Speccy has an unfortunate history of incorrect temperatures. I have some Llano APUs that idle at -17 C on there. Try AIDA64.

    The only help I can offer is my personal experience with a similar problem. Computer would randomly lock up and reset, turned out to be Windows 10 reacting to a RAM swap. Re-installed W10, fixed.

    I'd love to see a game where 8GB would not be enough, but unless you're on an extreme budget RAM is so cheap nowadays you should just get 16GB.
