Pretty sure he just wanted to make a video about cable management and managed to get a company to pay for it while given them hardly any focus in the video, I was more interested in how much Linus was going to break with his drill.

If it was truly a Logitech puff piece, he'd have drawn a LOT more attention to the Brio sitting on top of the monitor. Sponsorship is sponsorship, if it's declared as it was, I don't care. If I want to buy something expensive I'll always check multiple reviews anyway so it makes no difference to me if one or two are sponsored. I like to hope that LTT wouldn't put on a show for a crappy product.

Yeah you're gonna want Cat5e, Cat6 is only really useful if you have a 10 gigabit card or have a bunch of power cables and data cables running alongside it which could cause crosstalk. Probably be cheaper and more of a clean finish if you crimp your own or use wall faceplates but that depends on if you're confident whipping out the tool kit.

Plex apparently, never used it myself as I don't really have a local media library any more but everyone rates it highly.

Greggers got a reaction from LarsReviews in Nexus 5 Vibration Motor
If you've ever taken a N5 apart you can easily see why some users get problems with the motor not working. Instead of attaching the motor to the contacts on the PCB they've instead glued it to the back of the back cover and it's in a position where the contacts touch the other contacts on the PCB, kinda like how the replacement QI covers work on the Samsung devices, problem is when it doesn't. A little rattle can cause it to shake loose and this leaves a small gap that you can then close by tapping it or pushing down on the spot but this is not feasible if it's in your pocket and you end up missing calls. So I plan on taking it out and sticking something under the vibration motor to make the gap smaller and force the contacts to touch but my question, what material should I use that won't overheat, any type of glue I should use that won't melt?

Probably a little but don't expect anything amazing, also do your parents actually know what root is? I mean root permissions are risky enough with people who "know what they're doing", never mind parents who might download any old crap from the store and hit accept.

Has anyone else noticed the lack of right side buttons, control panel, network, run...? If all we're getting are links to our programs then what's the additional functionality over Win8 start or even just pinning your programs to the task bar.

It depends if your preference, if you can get the software you need or alternatives on your preferred system. I prefer Macs but I use Windows because it's easier for me to get the programs I need and I really don't fancy rebuying all of my software that'll probably double the price of a Macbook.

Might be a bit late but the only problem with the Nexus is that they have a rather high failure rate, but it's kinda random. I bought one and within a day it had some dead pixels, to Google's credit their RMA is pretty good so they sent me out another one but after a few weeks the vibration motor stopped working ever few hours or so until I tapped the back of the phone. Not a big deal for me as I don't really like using haptic feedback anyway, prefer audio feedback but a few people have had much more devastating issues like Ron from the All About Android TWIT show, one night charging, next day won't turn on. D:

Edit: Just realised that you bought it off of ebay, better test that thing well to ensure it's all working as you won't be able to RMA the thing through Google. Either way I still love mine and I'll take the problems over a laggy UI any day.

Give it 10 years and I might buy one. 1080p is fine for me, this coming from the guy who still had an SD TV in late 2009.

I bought an Acer S3-391 last year and I honestly regret it, it's the 2nd laptop I've owned and both have been terrible in my experience. Bloatware being the biggest issue but it's not as simple as wiping the os now due to the new ways Windows activates. If I had a chance now I'd go for a MacBook Air if only for the support, considering it's for uni you don't want to be sending a laptop off for 2 weeks RMA if it breaks, Apple stores just let you go in and get a new one right away providing it's in warranty. Plus you can still run Windows if you dislike the OS. However I'd suggest OS X considering you'll be on university WiFi which could be unsecure so anything to narrow your chances of attack are better. I'm going to uni this year as well so this was my thought process but I don't have £1500 to blow right now
