  1. Knowing MS they are gonna make an emulation box for win10, and you wont be able to mess with any of the files or settings or run at higher than 30fps. Most console exclusive rely on a 30fps cap to function anyways, and past attemts to overclock the original xbox resulted in all the audio being out of sync since the game just ran 15% faster. I'd rather have games made for PC, than this retrofitted nonsense
  2. Or maybe you just have to own 2 marketing companys, and force ppl to enter all their personal info in order to make an account and refute negative reviews that others put up of you...
  3. The way I read the reddit post, he had a z87 mobo that he bios updated to make it "compatible" with broadwell. Unfortunately for him, the electrical layout is slightly different, and there is no "true" z87 broadwell compatability through software... So he could get a z97, or keep using haswell with z87 I suppose.
  4. Once dx12 games start comming out, AMD's cards should be competitive again. Its a long shot though
  5. This makes me worried for their VR headset they are making with Valve, the "Vive". On the other hand, VR might be the thing that saves HTC. Samsung seems to be the only other mobile maker moving into the VR space. Who knows if HTC they will push some mobile Steam VR on their phones in the future.
  6. That thing looks so much like the stock 1366 cooler sitting on my shelf its not even funny... I wonder if Intel still had a warehouse with them somewhere and just though they would design 1151 with the same mounting spacing to clear out some inventory.
  7. Naughty America released their first VR film yesterday. inb4 "muh equality", it features both male and female POV.
  8. Is anyone really surprised when they chose Illfonic to develop the FPS module... the studio behind such gems as "Sonic Boom"
  9. Rumors over at r/oculus are that its a VR headset called Titan VR, and that would sort of make sense since its from the team behind the SHIELD. The REAL question is, does it plug into a PC (nvidia gpu only, knowing them), or is it an Android device, like the GearVR from samsung (also likely, considering the SHIELD is android).
  10. I'll just leave this here: Seriusly though, you shouldt laugh at innovation, you just end up looking like an idiot
  11. As cool as this is, I think the killer application for VR will be: This: Plus: This: http://www.amazon.com/Ready-Player-One-A-Novel/dp/0307887448 #DystopianFuturePrediction
  12. well.. I would love to have that much ram (3x1440p), but why in the world would I buy this, when I know their stacked ram tech is like a few months away?
  13. It better be a dev that realize that the only way to make things look "nextgen" on such crappy hardware is to take full advantage of the 8gigs of ram, and just ship it with insanely high res textures! And hopefully uncompressed audio aswell! And hopefully that trend leaks to PC. I never get why console games often have soooooo many cutscence though, most of them are no more demanding than they could easily just be rendered in-engine, it makes no sense.
  14. If those numbers are real, who in their right mind would buy a GTX 980, when you can get 2x R9 290 for roughly the same price? (guesstimate) Unless ofc you live somewhere really hot Nothing surprising from Nvidia seeing as they are still 28nm, although they "could" still surprise with pricing. If anything, this makes me interrested in seeing what team red has in store to counter it.
