  1. Thanks for the input people. I didn't mean to choose the kingston SSD must have clicked on the wrong one. Although I admit I did not know it was garbage What is the problem people have with the RM series? I have one and it works well and the build quality is pretty solid? @ShadowCaptain whats your reasoning for the Q2770PQU over the Dell? Is it purely cost or do you think its a better monitor?
  2. Yes! Though Im not that optimistic that it will be a game changer as its still 32bit I believe
  3. Hi All, After successfully using this great community to plan and build my new gaming PC my friend wants in! He plans to use the rig for gaming and light general use and has a couple of requirements, namely a GPU from the green team and a 1440p monitor. Like myself he is not concerned too much with aesthetics as the rig will sit under his desk He (we) plans some light OC'ing at first and may upgrade to SLI in a few months/when games dictate. Budget is 1500 - 1600 pounds strling This is the first draft i have given him, any input would be appreciated! http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/user/shunt/saved/MrDMnQ
  4. The build is completed but he has not yet installed FSX as he is still tinkering with an old flight simulator. Will update when he does, though it may be some time as the silver fox is rather slow these days!
  5. My dad is building exactly this setup for exactly this reason after Christmas so will report back findings.

  7. You can put it onto a bootable USB or CD to use later on in a new build. Microsoft has a tool for this here: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-gb/windows-8/create-reset-refresh-media Be aware though you have to do this on a comouter with win 7,8 or 8.1
  8. Ok so im struggling here. Bought this key for new build and need to create a bootable USB as obviously I have no OS on it to upgrade from. Problem is I only have a shitty PC running 32 bit windows XP so cant create the ISO. Any ideas? EDIT: never mind borrowed a laptop with win 8. Key seems to work for me.
  9. Great deal. Annoyingly I bought this off amazon for £290 only a week ago
  10. Looks like this isn't happening now. Sad face
  11. The Dell u2414h is an 60hz ips monitor with a 6mm border, the thinnest you can get I believe.
  12. I just bought this board because I'm an awesome super cool pro overclocker and definitely NOT for the shallow reason that I just like orange
