  3. For this honestly a 100$ prebuilt refurbished dell or hp tower would work, if performance drops could add a gpu on the cheaper side

Cheaper psu that’s still reliable. Cheaper motherboard like i mentioned earlier
  5. Yes make the motherboards cheaper, you certainly don’t need z490 for non overclockable chips

    Testing this bad boi!

I wish I could find those deals

    Testing this bad boi!

Lucky, I haven’t been able to test and buy parts because we’re moving right now the only thing I’ve been doing is talking to the tv company’s customer service bot and moving furniture

So my mom buys a new house asks for help with T…

Finally fixed her modem router from net gear too. I’m going to kill xfinitys customer service answerer thing, I hate it and it talks slow as a drunk high Texan. Anyway both the coaxial connector and the one power outlet I plugged into at the beginning were both dead, just my luck
  9. YT_DomDaBomb20

Jay is doing another World Wide GPU Giveaway !…

6800xt just because I admit I’m a little fanboy for amd but I think the 6800xt should perform better because it’s in between a 3070 and a 3080 and I’d say closer to 3080
  10. So my mom buys a new house asks for help with TVs and won’t get anything other than Samsung. Not Lg, not anything, even when 100 dollars cheaper at the same resolution same amount of input ports same type of oled screen this is killing me because a tv that’s 359.99 on Best Buy will be just as good as her fascination with Samsung TVs but no, so here I am I guess

    1. Cyberspirit

      Cyberspirit

My sister is the same way, nothing you can do about it.

  11. What’s the gpu utilization, also is the cpu overclocked? That’s the best way a cpu of that age won’t bottleneck a somewhat modern gpu

Mesh front comes with 4 fans. the x470 board was 1 dollar more expensive than a b450 a pro max, which is what i usually reccomend if you dont need pcie gen 4. included the 3060ti because it was in stock, but its the same price as msrp 3070 i think
  15. dont buy an oem version of windows, just install it into a usb and pick up a key on ebay for under 5 dollars
  16. i think it was a vram problem, looking back, not one gpu with less than 6gb of ram can do it which is a shame, because a 1650s is basically a 1060
  17. i would suggest the scythe fuma 2 or dark rock pro 4 instead of an aio
  18. also, just putting it out there, although they arent great, some gtx cards can do ray tracing, so if power is a problem i think the lowest card is the 1060 6gb, but youll want at least a 1660 ti/ 1070 to get more than 20-30 fps
  19. 1. no chipset means nothing 2. i doubt any of those boards have the proper bios, you would need to update it yourself 3. Check to see the heatsinks on the boards, what you want to look for is vrm heatsinks usually to the left and top of the socket. on some boards that have ram slots on both sides, vrms at the top only is fine, and even one vrm heatsink is better than a board with none
  20. PCPartPicker Part List Type Item Price Motherboard ASRock B550M Steel Legend Micro ATX AM4 Motherboard $109.99 @ Newegg Prices include shipping, taxes, rebates, and discounts Total (before mail-in rebates) $129.99 Mail-in rebates -$20.00 Total $109.99 Generated by PCPartPicker 2021-01-07 18:37 EST-0500 this board makes sense if it fits the budget, has vrm heatsinks on i/o side and the top, and has rgb on it if thats your thing, of course lights should be able to be disabled, but some people say they don't like the asrock rgb control system

i like how this is the first status update from anyone that ive looked at in about a month
  22. @A Dumb Giraffe dont buy an oem version of windows, you can install it onto a usb and get a key off ebay for 3 dollars or so

  24. i know this is a little over, so you can either change the case, downgrade the storage to 500 gb or so or go down to a ryzen 5
