    10 years is a pretty good term for a PSU, this definitely looks like it can't support 5V rail anymore
    Why ? PSU performance or quality doesn't depend on wattage, as you can get a very good quality 550\650W PSU, you can also get a bad 1000W PSU.

    Y is bad as stated above. Z is bad compared to X too, and for 800$ it's a rip-off compared to X.

    conmul got a reaction from Herman Mcpootis in First build. Gaming rig (~$1000). About to pull the trigger and would love some feedback first.   
    The funny thing is, the br is definitely bad, and defending your liking for it simply by saying "its evga" doesnt at all apply to the psu world or even hardware in general. But to answer your question, yes myself and mostly anyone here knows of evga (obviously). And on that note, most anyone here will also back up that the br is indeed bad.

    They are talking out of their ass. FPS drop and stuttering can not be caused by the PSU
