  1. You have a 5600 and an Asus TUF Gaming B550. It makes no sense to go to the next generation with the parts you picked. I would focus on other things instead, like maybe more RAM or storage if needed. If you are gaming, you are not going to notice much if any performance increase with the RX 6600 that you have.
  2. When you shop at the right time, you can get some pretty sweet deals. They will offer some sweet combo deals to just move the old stock. That can be a win for the budget shopper, plus you'll find that the microcenter staff are really helpful (depends on location) as some of them are techs, gamers and hobbyists.
  3. I see you got some sweet discounts from microcenter. Pretty cool. Put it together, take some photos and make a build log. Enjoy your sweet little PC.
  4. You have a system a lot of people wish they could have. It makes no sense to upgrade your PC unless your needs are not met. Making small improvements is one thing, but planning an entire system upgrade seems like an unnecessary waste of money.
  5. Seems like you are using both cpu and gpu for rendering, you may be able to set a custom export setting and have the gpu just do the rendering, idk. Anyway, it's probably working fine the way it is. I use only CPU rendering at 32mb/s and I do just fine.
  6. The title should be "I Ruined His Car While He Was On Vacation".
  7. I won't waste time with a bunch of text. RX 6800, if it fits, it sits.
  8. You have plenty of system RAM for a mid range gaming PC. You also have a pretty good GPU. You could hold off a bit and wait for the next generation of RTX 70 class cards, but by then that 12400F may be a bit underpowered for it. So knowing that, it's more about whether you want to spend the money or not. If you are willing to spend the money, go for the best one that fits your budget.
  9. If you already have a GPU that's not keeping up, then I would suggest the best price to performance card you can find within the spec range you are shopping in. Me personally I would go with more VRAM for those more graphically demanding games if you want to run native 1440p and whatnot.
  10. Have you tried looking it up in a search engine? Or maybe check ebay?
  11. What are your system specs? It would help to know exactly what you are upgrading.
  12. Thank god you did not say it's from some website. That would be suspiciously cheap at this point in time. Hey! That's an awesome friend, enjoy the sweet deal.
  13. I'm sure more people would be willing to help if you provided more details about the hardware you are using.
  14. Does it work? Where or who is it from? (Don't give personal detail)
  15. Wait! Just incase I missed something. Did you just check everything else but your RAM?
  16. Is this system not doing what you need? You have a really, really, good system. I would focus on other things like that monitor you want to get, and other peripherals to make life and multitasking easier.
  17. I can't read your time spy score. How many chunks are trying to render? Give some more examples with temps for both cpu and gpu along with the amountof usage. Did you use DDU to uninstall the older drivers, then install new drivers from Nvidia? If the VRMs are getting too hot, make sure you have good air flow in the case.
  18. I hope you got that system for super cheap, because a 2 core i3 is weak by today's standards.
  19. It seems quite a bit of people are having that issue. The more people know, the better.
  20. Oh no! I'm starting to see a pattern.
  21. *cough cough* It's 2024, stop making silly compromises and take what you can get while you still can so you don't need to think about it later.
  22. It's the year 2024, not 2016. Get 32GB of RAM. I don't know the prices in your part of the world, but if the budget allows, go for the 10 core i5 13400f.
