How to Remove All Permission and Privilege Restrictions?
LinusOnLine replied to avrona's topic in Windows
Will not work if the permissions is set to an earlier installations administrator group. He also already tried that if you read the thread. -
How to Remove All Permission and Privilege Restrictions?
LinusOnLine replied to avrona's topic in Windows
Sounds like the drive is holding on to an old SID number from an older installation and in that case you do not have rights to do much on a Windows machine since the new installation has another SID. Frankly the fastest way to fix it is a new install and reformat all the drives but you can also log in as an administrator and take ownership of the drives again. It will replace the SID but I would still recommend to redo it all to get it right automatically. This kind of explains how to do it but if you do not even know if you are logged in as an administrator or not I would not recommend it at all. Edit:Forgot the Link https://www.windowscentral.com/how-take-ownership-files-and-folders-windows-10 -

Are you trying to install a program? If you are, hold down shift, right click the install file and chose run as administrator and it should work. -

Are you logged in as a local administrator? If you are you could always take ownership of directories you can not access. -

Reinstall Windows or format the hard drive having the restrictions. -
Projectors in that price range are not real 4K anyway so buy a decent full HD instead. BenQ has good prices in Sweden on NetOnNet. I think they sell in Norway as well? Check this one out. Only heard good things about it. https://www.netonnet.se/art/ljud-och-bild/projektor/projektor/benq-w2000/223099.9120/ Also they sell a screen at 108" electric that is really cheap and surprisingly good for that price to be honest. A few drawbacks though. It has an awful smell that will last a few weeks before you get rid of it and the instructions are wrong on how to make the screen stop where you want it to stop. If you go down that route just pm me and I can help you with that part. Oh and it does not roof mount out of the box like it says in the description. Easy fix though.

4K Netflix Is it worth the extra money

For 4K no but for 4 screens yes. -
In my experience routers play a bigger part in getting good wifi speed than the network card does. When I changed from Linksys EA6500 to a Linksys WRT3200ACM my wifi speeds more than doubled on the same places and same equipment. Before I got about 150mbit on my phone up and down from my bedroom and now I get about 400mbit up and down from the same phone and place.

LinusOnLine replied to TaycoFlayco's topic in General Discussion
It does not really have anything to do with size and everything to do with how EU and many European governments laws regarding what the cell companies have to do and are allowed to do. It is cheap to use cells pretty much everywhere in the EU and many of the cell companies are EU wide which would actually compare rather well to the states. As usual Americans are being lied to- 35 replies

Retail worker suggests that I get a better mobo
LinusOnLine replied to TomasFr's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
NetOnNet sales people do not know more about hardware than the average person does. Some of the people at technical support knows a bit but not much more Great place to buy stuff but do the research somewhere else. -

Never listen to sales people. Not even in local stores. Still never met anyone that had any idea what they were talking about. What local store was it? -
HDMI in to a good amp. Does not get much better than that.
