Do you mean your AIO, not GPU?

    Glad it's solved.

i've used their AIO's on my last two builds as well with zero problems, so I was so confused with the issues i'm currently facing.

If you are mounting an AIO cooler vertically you want the hoses on top(higher) if you mount it the other way it puts a decent amount of strain on the pump. If you are mounting horizontally in the case it doesn't matter. Fish tanks filtration systems and cars cooling are completely different from an AIO CPU cooler.

    Observations:
-Your pump ia reporting 2776 rpm which is fine for asetek and is probably spinning fine
    - your coolant temperature is very low (25 c) indicating that the heat is not being passed onto the AIO efficiently
    - Fans at 0 rpm on the cooler is probably the zero rpm mode when the coolant is below 40 degrees.

So from here i can only guess two things:
    - Poor mounting of the block, i know you said it looks fine and youve done it a few times, but please post a photo of the thermal paste spread on either side of cpu and aio block

    My good spread example

-incorrect temperture of the coolant reported by the aio. Touch the radiator and if it is cold to the touch then all is fine. If it is hot then the temp sensor might be busted.

    Good idea, good luck.

Have a look here for some more of my opinions:

With regards to shaking, if you can do it with the AIO dismounted (provided you have either an extenral PSU or alternative cooler for the CPU). Try something like this.

This really is the level of "not removing the plastic sticker" level of hot, I think we really need more diagnostic pictures like what I mentioned above (pictures of unmunted blocks, thermal paste spread, etc).

Yea, I assume it isn't going to be the reason, besides thermal paste would even out the minute variance in flatness anyway. I'm going to take pictures, and probably a video of the build with the AIO being pulled off and wiring to give reference tonight, and hopefully there is something simple im missing, and everyone can call me dumb, and we can go on our marry way.

It is a "thing" but its only for those seeking to improve upon normal temperatures, unflat IHS/cooler is not going to be the reason you are at 105 degrees celcious.

it would. if that's the problem at least. We can pretty much say the same as that repair shop (probebly), but the choise is yours

well, to update it on a evga board as far as I know yes. but have you tried those other things first before you're going to do that? it would mean a lot less hassle.

Yes. AMD offers a neat little boot kit in which they send you a $40 CPU that's compatible to update BIOS, but Intel doesn't seem to offer that, so unless you wanna buy yourself some extra silicon, a shop seems the only path (or a friend who wants to lend you one)

Yes, or at least try and ask evga if the can update the bios for you if you ship it to them. Not everyone have an 8th gen intel cpu lying around.

checked it. you need bios revision 1.09 or higher. those support coffee lake S (9th gen)

You get the BIOS on a USB stick, and then use EVGA's BIOS utilities to update. I can't recall off the top of my head what it's called, but you'll look for something involving the word "flash" in the BIOS. Google can help you find it.

used ddu yet? also, does your intergrated graphics work? try booting without gpu first.

edit: and don't forget about the cmos of course

I bet the Z370 motherboard doesn't have an updated BIOS for the 9000 series Intel chips yet. Any computer shops that would lend a CPU for you to update it by chance? Or maybe Intel started doing a boot kit like AMD and they'll send you a Celeron or something

Ok, it might be the bios is out of date and not support that cpu yet. Any bios update for your mobo?

Don't most z370 mobos need a bios update to work with 9th gen?

i'm pretty sure NZXT will be a quality motherboard manufacturer if they keep pushing it  but as for their first product i wouldn't wanna be a beta tester

They both pretty (I'm not talking about Z270). As @syn2112 says that it's their first motherboard, but you may give them chance. I don't think they want to start fight with other brands by releasing worst motherboard ever made. Personally I prefer Asus for their BIOS, but not for price (if you compare features with other similar boards) or for quality of other products (not motherboards) I saw last years.

    @EthanWater
wouldn't trust to use the NZXT motherboard, it does look fantastic, but that's their first motherboard ever, and they've only updated the BIOS once... 6-7 months ago.. while ASUS already has all the patches for Spectre/Meltdown and it already supports the upcoming 9th gen Intel CPU's.

oh and also the MSI motherboard is H270, that doesn't support 8th Gen CPU's.
