  1. the 3gb is the problem I think, you might be running out of VRAM
  2. If you wont regularly accessing them I would recommend saving them on an external hdd and for saftey on a cloud. If they are confidential then get yourself two external HDDs, dont store them together. EDIT: In case you want something that would survive travel I would recommend the Transcend 25M3 or maybe even the Lacie.
  3. It should work. At least on Medium settings. (Probably good enough to run high) I just found these benchmarks for you to look at. https://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-2018-08-03-nvidia-geforce-gtx-1080-benchmarks-7001
  4. The monitor is only an output. You can change your monitor as often as you want without consequences for your system other than different hardware usage (different refresh rates and resolution).
  5. The thing is that the X series performs about as good as the overclocked standard series. Price value the non X series is thus better.
  6. Also arent those links you sent in UK layout?
  7. http://www.maxkeyboard.com/custom-white-translucent-top-backlight-keycap-set-blank.html# This is the best option I have up until now. EDIT: Sorry the first link has just blank keys. http://www.maxkeyboard.com/ansi-custom-white-translucent-top-backlight-keycap-set-side-print.html This one (I think) can do the UK layout.
  8. and the prices wont be going down anywhen soon.... I feel you
  9. This might be something strange to ask but does anyone know of wireless touch displays (preferably with battery)? The idea is to bring it as an addition to a laptop. I got the idea looking at the Asus portable monitors, which need a USB connection for both power and video signal.
  10. Should be, but that does not mean that it works that way. Things get harder the smaller one goes and only the future can tell.
  11. found here: https://www.evga.com/articles/01059/evga-supernova-g3-power-supplies/

Mount it so that you can sit back somewhere and play console style with a controller.
  16. Can you try them out before ordering? At an electronics store? This is extremely subjective because everbody likes different switches.
  17. I think you need special drivers for that, because not every Thunderbolt 3 laptop has that feature. I have no idea how much compatability the motherboard needs.
  18. Ok just found some here: https://www.techradar.com/news/top-8-best-portable-laptop-battery-chargers-and-power-banks-in-2017
  19. I think your only option would be the RAVPOWER Powerstations... Or something equivalent..
  20. I dont think a m3 would take you far. Refurbished can be good. Do they comment on what exaclty certified means? Is it factory refurbished? Do they give warranty? Also look out for the colour range on the display when using it for photography.
  21. First off the must have question: are you on the latest driver? Secondly have you checked the temperature of your graphics card?
  22. How much RAM do you have installed? Do you have the newest Chrome update downloaded?
