I just used regular spray paint. I tested the paint on the spare PCI bracket that my GPU took up to make sure the red could fully cover the black. It took about 5-6 coats to get the right color. You might want to do a base coat tho. The ssd mount should be no problem since it is matte paint.

I thought about throwing in a better CPU, however the FSB on the motherboard is awfully slow. So it really limits me in what I can put in it. And if I get a new mother board as well, I might as well change socket.

If that bothers you, you don't have to put the thing in the pci slot, You can run it from behind the motherboard tray and just hide it there. It's only so you can easily change the brightness and turn them on and off, which I never mess with anyways.

I like it. What were the specs of your old rig? I'm kinda curious.

Well I'm finally done with my first build. Wish I could say it went off without a hitch, but I can't. First I had to wait to get my case on backorder, even though I preordered it. It was torture looking at all my components for my computer knowing I'm only missing the case to put it in. Once i finally get the case, I excitedly rush to go build it. This was my first build, but I've watched so many build guides from Linus, that I was sure I could do it with out a problem. Silly me decided to not do a test build, and throw it all in the case. The moment of truth came.

I press the power button AND.......nothing. Nothing happens at all. But it's my first build, so i figured I forgot something. I went back and double checked all the connections, making sure they were in tight, and in the right place. It all seems good. So I give up and pull everything from the case, to build it on motherboard box. Nothing. Now I'm at lost. I try pulling the RAM, putting them in different slots, one ram at a time. That doesn't help. So I go to do some reading to figure out what to do next.

I come across on how to test the PSU. I try and jump it to no avail. So I finally THINK it is the PSU. I end up pulling the 24/8 pin cables off the old crappy computer that I have been using. Plug it up to my new mother board, and suddenly the MB lights up. I FIGURED IT OUT!!! I was super happy that I figured it out on my own, but super depressed knowing it's going to be another few weeks till my new computer will be up and running. I went through the RMA process with Newegg, and a couple weeks later, I got the replacement. Everything went smoothly from there.
