  1. You’ll need the gpu version of aura, not the motherboard version: https://www.asus.com/supportonly/AURA%28Graphics%20Card%29/HelpDesk_Download
  2. You need to connect the molex cable.
  3. Mine are at their best when running from a Schiit Magni3/Modi3 combo, or an AE-5 soundcard. I have also run them from a surface pro4, recon3d soundcard and directly from an older Asus motherboard. They are loud enough but the sound quality is a noticeable step back from the Schiit/AE-5. They don't sound bad, but there is a difference when comparing the different options.
  4. I have a pair of those, got them from officeworks for half price. They are ok for watching youtube vids but they are absolute shit for music.
  5. I’ve heard virtual surround is very dependant on the shape of your ears. Mine must be the right shape because SBX has always worked great for me on a zxr and now an ae-5. There seems to be a lot of negativity towards virtual surround on this forum, moreso than the other websites i visit.
  6. That would be an analog signal, which doesn’t require a dac.
  7. My side panels aren't too bad, the back one sticks out a little on one corner but I have a heap of stuff hidden in the back which pushes on it. Corsair did a concept of this case that was carbon fibre and tempered glass, but I dont think they are planning to release it. http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/corsair-concept-curve-concept-slate,news-55749.html Unfortunately the Asus frontbase isn't compatible with my current motherboard, I was using it on my old x79 build,I left it there because it looks better than the plastic bits that came with the case.
  8. It is a bit flimsy, the way it flexes when you lift it could be an issue with a hardline tubed build.

The res looks dirty in this pic due to the lighting i used for the photo: Had to remove the lower bit of the 5.25 cage to fit the XE360 rad. The 1080ti backplate has been modded to make it compatible with the EK waterblock.
  10. In the process of upgrading all the hardware but this is wht it looked like a few weeks ago.
  11. Mostly gaming and a bit of photoshop. A tiny bit of video but not enough to influence the purchase.
  12. is there a firm date for the next gen equivalent of the 8700k?
  13. Currently running an Ivy extreme i74930k @4.4ghz, rampage IV black and 64gb Gskill Ripjaws 1600mhz. I've been thinking about grabbing a 8700k, Maximus X code, and 32gb Gskill Trident 3200mhz. 8700k will be delidded and watercooled. Running an Acer X34 3440x1440 monitor and 1080ti. Current system is pretty good, can max out most games at max settings but there's some games that like core speed/fast ram that have room for improvement. I've been on the fence about this upgrade for a while now, help me decide one way or the other.
