No desktop icons for me, not even the Recycle Bin. I love just having a blank slate with the taskbar at the bottom, and my hardware monitoring apps in the background.

The advantage of that is that at least you're able to open apps quicker than me! ;)

You know that you can make it so your CPU and GPU temps are in your taskbar as well right?

Are you you using a normal background or something from wallpaper engine?

ps: My phone just autocorrected "you" to "uwu"...

Some wallpaper I found on the internet, I've never used Wallpaper Engine before, nor do I think I will, I'm too paranoid of how much power an animated wallpaper might use.

Not that I might give Wallpaper Engine a try in the future!

@seoz it's HWiNFO64, it's basically like HWMonitor. You can just right click on the items you want and then click "Add to Tray" and it'll put it in your taskbar. Try it on HWMonitor, it might be able to do it as well.

Ah, interesting. I've never used HWiNFO64 before, guess I'll try it out and see if it can replace my ever-trusty HWMonitor.

hwinfo64 also provides a LOT more info about basically every sensor in your system. if you want to monitor stuff like VRM temps, CPU temps at a more granular level than just what hwmonitor exposes to you, it's the way to go

@seoz This is with hardware acceleration and two 1080p animated wallpapers:

It doesn't really consume much and, you can set it so the wallpaper gets paused when you fullscreen something.
