  1. Most of the reviews say it's fake, and it's a somewhat common scam on places like ebay to sell modified flash drives/sd cards so they show up as higher capacity than what they actually are.
  2. hey those look pretty neat. that's a better idea than what I came up with, I assumed would include stuff like that
  3. I think it's the Thermaltake View 22 Tempered Glass Edition, https://www.thermaltake.com/Chassis/Mid_Tower_/View/C_00003152/View_22_Tempered_Glass_Edition/Design.htm edit: no it isn't but it looks similar
  4. Probably camera(s), if one of them isn't a sensor it's prob a camera pointed the other way (if this is in the middle of the hallway/classroom, one cam watches 1/2 and the other watches the other half. That's how my school does it anyway)
  5. I'd put 2 (probably metal, but wood would work too) posts spaced 23.6" (I think that's how wide the filter is) on the wall, so you can hang the filter by the mounting holes and then make some holes in the posts to let you screw the filter in. (here's a bad diagram I made with paint:)
  6. Pretty sure there's no way without removing the PCB on the drive and replacing it with one from a brand new drive and removing and re soldering a specific IC (I don't remember which one), and even then idk if that'd work.
  7. Do you have the right drivers installed?
  8. Well you could put the hard drive in a computer as not the boot drive and format the disk (back up everything you care about first). And if you plan on installing a new OS on the drive, going through the installation usually formats the drive anyways.
  9. I agree with @suchamoneypit, the PSU's the only thing you haven't tested yet.
  10. Idk if the touch screen will interfere with this, but you could try disabling the touch screen with only the keyboard. If that works, here's some steps I came up with: 1: press windows key + r and run devmgmt.msc 2: Use tab and your arrow keys to get to Human Interface Devices and press the right arrow key to expand that 3: use the arrow keys to get to HID-compliant touch screen. and press enter 4: Press tab until the "General" tab has a border around it, then use the left/right arrow keys to get to the "Driver" tab. 5: press tab until "Disable" is selected, then press enter 6: in the prompt asking you if you want to disable this device, press y or an arrow key to highlight "yes" then press enter Hopefully that works.
  11. No, windows is installed on the SSD (so the PC boots faster), and then install some of the programs you use a lot on it so they load faster (like steam or whatever). Then you put everything else on the Hard drive.
  12. No, it won't slow down the computer. But I'd consider getting a small SSD too for better boot times and stuff.
  13. the g in linus g sebastion stands for god

  14. I really doubt it because it's the chipset that's incompatible, not just the BIOS. I don't have an extra compatible motherboard I could sell but I use the ASUS P8B75-M LE and it's compatible and alright and I got it for only $50 on amazon.
  15. You could attach a wire from your PC to a pipe or through a window outside to the ground. (I got this from https://tw.forumosa.com/t/grounding-your-computer-in-taiwan/5178/4, I'd recommend checking it out.)
  16. I doubt it will help much or at all. Ping is how long it takes for your signal to go from where you are to the server and back, so it will only maybe affect the speed from your device to the router (and even then you could reduce that by plugging into ethernet)
  17. Oh lol, I didn't actually notice how bad it melted. You could probably scrape that out with a really small screwdriver or something similar.
  18. I agree with this. If you can't test the PSU, try plugging in a different PSU (maybe ask to borrow someones or something) and if the problem goes away you know it's something with the power supply. Or if you have another motherboard that you know works, you could plug the PSU into it and see if it works.
  19. Yeah, probably everything on that sellers store is a scam. Like this 1050 ti for $67 https://www.ebay.com/itm/GTX1050Ti-4GB-DDR5-HDMI-Graphics-Card-For-NVIDIA-GeForce/292643008436. Then again if I had extra money I'd probably buy one of the GPUs fully knowing it's a scam because I'd just want to know what they'd actually send me.
  20. The integrated graphics will work. (although you might have to install the drivers for them for them to work well)
  21. From what I could figure out, the RAM isn't removable on that laptop (it's soldered directly to the MOBO). I'm not 100% certain though, so if you want to know you could disassemble it and see for yourself.
  22. I read on https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=303404.0, the CPU is soldered on so you can't upgrade it.
  23. Like a normal TV remote? I did that using an Arduino, IR sensor, and a relay. You connect the relay to the pins for the power button on the motherboard and have the IR sensor on the case. When the IR sensor detects the power button on your remote (you can use any really, just have to change a number), it activates the relay. or you could just buy one but that's no fun
  24. Yeah, just install windows onto the SSD like you'd normally install windows, then just have the PC boot from the SSD and you can still access stuff from the hard drive.
