  1. well, you can go for video editing on most cases with 16 gbs you could add more in the future, another 2x8 ram kit if you think you could need more
  2. the problem with vdsl is that remains being a pair of coper wires, they do degrade over time, on some countries people steals the wires, copper recycle is a problem distance is another problem, noise from electromagnetic sources, radios on area, smartphones, wifi signals, electric motors these days everything affects a copper wire sadly coaxial is abit better with noise, but a good fiber cant be beat
  3. for storage? if you can buy a bigger storage ssd it would be better, being both ssd sata, i would go for a bigger cheaper unit
  4. the ssd needs to relocate files to keep a good speed accessing files iirc you need to leave 10% of the ssd so the ssd itself has space to move files, relocate them for better access https://www.google.com/amp/s/pureinfotech.com/why-solid-state-drive-ssd-performance-slows-down/amp/ i remember reading somewhere that once the ssd starts to use only that 10% or less the empty area wears out faster leaving to a faster than expected death of the ssd but, since ssds are so cheap and one should use them for os mostly, maintain them for years should not be a priority, in 5 years any ssd you have now will be considered small or slow anyway, so maintain them alive for as long as possible should not be a concern, a priority i believe
  5. i am more convinced now that ever, i must buy a crt again! i even want a smartphone crt! crt all the things!
  6. yes, crts are great! let me sell my ips so i can enjoy 50hz 1280x1024 resolution! my point is that crts are not what people remember they are, if you remember them, means you havent used one in a ling time, if you use one these days you will quickly understand why move to lcd was so great idea, anyway, op has not replied and this discussion helps no one
  7. try with ryzen master, it is what im using, this is a plan b, i dont know how to enable the options you mention on bios, sorry
  8. better buy a Y splitter like this one https://www.amazon.com/Rosewill-Splitter-Duplicator-Converter-Adapter/dp/B01N0XQ7XC/ref=mp_s_a_1_1_sspa?keywords=fan+y+splitter&qid=1564890230&s=gateway&sprefix=fan+y+&sr=8-1-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEzSThLRUJMSUZVMDZRJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwOTY1OTk0RVZOTkM1S01NRUlXJmVuY3J5cHRlZEFkSWQ9QTA1ODczMzc5RTU4WVo4N0M3OTImd2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9waG9uZV9zZWFyY2hfYXRmJmFjdGlvbj1jbGlja1JlZGlyZWN0JmRvTm90TG9nQ2xpY2s9dHJ1ZQ== the problem i see there is that those fans have a weird connector, i dont think those will fit in the fan header or which one of the two is ground and which is 12v, those fans are designed for what purpose?
  9. iirc is a attempt to recreate all half life 1 into the source engine, so you play half life 1 with half life 2 graphics
  10. did you at least tried to remove all the liquid before plugging it?
  11. usb 2 speeds can go up to 30 mbs, it has nothing to do with the the usb port, is more related to how slow is the microsd card and if the files are a bunch of small files mixed with big files, that affects copy speed
  12. well, it is a problem with cpu usage, but i wouldnt dare to recomend anything there
  13. that green circle explains all, we must buy that game! support rtx and the game devs!
  14. yeah, put them at 100hz at 800x600, sure, all will look better
  15. exactly, opinion, this post is about opinions, nothing more, you dont need to prove anything or dedust old pages with old game reviews to prove anything, these are opinions, no need to attack or defend, chill out and play your half life game all you want
  16. that q cpu must be running at lower than 3ghz the game can run on that, single core, but not at 1080p i think as confirmation try to run the game at 720p or lower in low settings
  17. where i live i cant buy a modem, no one sells them, but i just asked my isp to turn off the wifi signal, then i proceeded to put 3 routers connected via ethernet to the modem, each part of the house has its own wifi signal, all my problems vanished this way one would think that all 3 sharing the same signal would be better but this way if one of the 3 die they can connect to another of the 3 networks, is sort of lazy solution but works dam well
  18. a bunch of reviews of people who played it years ago and never had better games means nothing, even if you use a yellow colored circle to point at them, old games are old, let them go
  19. if you find annoying the noise the stock cooler does, yes sure, go for a better cooler, more silent with a bigger fan, if not, perhaps the stock one is all you need
  20. i have my r3 2200 at 4ghz at 1.375 stable, 4.1 crashes after a couple hours under game load a stable overclock is not stable until you put it under real test, not just some tools making cpu hot for a couple minutes but not really pushing all system i am afraid of try with more voltage to keep 4.1 or go for 4.2, perhaps you have better luck
  21. the move the documents to hard disk is not just copy and paste, you tell windows to move the folder to the new direction, so all contents new and old are pointed there the game libraries you can tell them where exactly you want them, steam, origon, ubisoft and spic all of them let you tell where to go, search for games and where to install them steam in particular allows you to create multiple libraries, i created 2, one in the nvme with gta v, the rest of games on the hard disk, i havent tried with epic and ubisoft yet
  22. i have the same gpu, i got the game for free yesterday, all went fine, smooth in 30 or 40 fps, perhaps more in medium settings 1080p if you dont have better fps the problem is your old cpu, is not up to the task, i have a r3 2200
  23. is a couple screws, if you can install a gpu, assemble a pc, you can do that, easily
