Ryota kise reacted to panzersharkcat in A gaming laptop with better durability!
The Zephyrus G14 with Ryzen 7 4800HS, 8 GB of RAM, GTX 1650, and 512 GB SSD is currently $1000 at Best Buy in the US. Open Box Certified is $910 and Open Box Excellent is $880. Take the savings and buy an 8 GB DDR4-3200 stick of RAM. Don't know if that kind of pricing is available in Bangladesh, though.

12-15h battery life and gaming dont go together at all.
the only laptops with that kind of battery life are ultra lights with the current AMD APU´s but these can also play some games on low details.

Ryota kise reacted to Darkseth in 1070 ti 8G / 1060 6gb?
The 1070 ti of course.
What is the total Price for each?
Calculate how much % more the 1070 ti cost.
The 1070 ti will offer around 57%~ more Performance.
So, if it's $350 vs. $550, then the 1070 ti offers the same Performance per Dollar. 57% more expensive, 57% faster.
If you do NOT want to replace the GPU for the next 3 years, then obviously 1070 ti. A 1060 was already a compromise last year, if we're talking about 1080p / 60 Hz gaming. Some decent amount of Games will NOT run smoothly at a clean 60 fps lock, with maxed out settings. You will have to tweak here and there to hit 60.
A significantly stronger GPU Like the 1070 ti offers more room to play with. Especially, if you rock a 144 Hz monitor, or a 1440p Monitor. Or both.

the 1070ti is roughly 60% faster...so it's quite a bit...i would think it's worth it to spend more yes

Ryota kise reacted to iiNNeX in 1070 ti 8G / 1060 6gb?
Yes as it's quite a bit faster. If you have the cash and want to "futureproof" yourself then get the 1070 ti

Ryota kise reacted to Skiiwee29 in 970 SLI now? or wait?
You will not be able to SLI with that PSU. You should have a 750w minimum for SLI to be comfortable. Also, SLI is pretty much dead with support lacking and is dying a certain death in the near future based on trends. If you need a Graphics Card, the best option is to buy the single fastest card you can afford.

250 for a 980ti (clocks to be faster than 1070) is a great price consider the current market
If you can get a 980ti, it would be the better buy - if you already had a 970 then id say go for it, but the chances are you can get a 980ti for the price of 2x 970s, the single powerful card will be the better option and wont strain your PSU as much
