  1. There actually isn't much processing going on and that really isn't how that works. What was mentioned in this article was an amplification technique to take a small attack, use some badly configured things and cause a massive amount of data to come out.
  2. As long as side panel can sit flush it is fine. Though onjestly you can run without a side panel.
  3. You are fine. As stated before the cabels are insulated.
  4. These are definitely becoming a bigger and bigger problem. My brother recently had his site hit with a massive DDoS. If it weren't for cloudflair, he would have been completely knocked offline. These things are so disruptive even to just normal everyday stuff. too. The fact that these are getting bigger and more powerful are definitely an issue for sure. Source
  5. If you dry out a phone or any electronic device with the battery still plugged in, it won't matter if ti is try. You can and will still kill the device. The only way to really properly do it is open it, remove the board, put it into some 99% rubbing alcohol (IPA is hydrophilic aka water loving), swish it around for a minute or so, dry it off for 24 hours, then pray. Otherwise you are SOL. If you need to clean it, it will be an ultra sonic cleaner, IPA (99% if possible), dry then attempt.
  6. Before anything: BACK UP YOUR PHONE There is like damage on the screen and possible liquid damage on the display. It really needs to be opened and inspected. PSA complete. After that, best of luck.
  7. Honey, you need to lay off the reputation. The it is approaching 9000!

  8. Source Intel got hit with one (a two in one) again and now ARM got hit. Honestly it really isn't surprising you won't find a vulnerability, it is just a matter of when. This one doesn't seem to have a rating, so it will be interesting at what kind of severity rating it gets. Plus, what kind of complexity are we talking about to exploit it? Either way, it is good to see Google was the one who found it and not some shady third party.
  9. When i am cloning drives I have had newer 3.5" 7200 drives hit 225MB/s. Most of my 2.5 7200s are lucky to do 120. So there is a speed difference.
  10. I just noticed I have more rep than i do posts. :D Thank @Eschew
