  1. Hi, I'm currently running an i7 3970x which is completely fine in terms of performance, i'm rarely seeing over 40% CPU load so I don't think it's necessary to upgrade based on performance. However I'm considering buying an RTX 2070 Super, which is where the problems start. i7 3970x - Intel Ark The 3970x only supports PCIe 2.0, but has 40 PCIe lanes and can transfer at 8GT/s. I doubt I'll run into a bottleneck, but I'd rather get some opinions before I drop cash on the card. Cheers.
  2. I have no idea mate, it honest depends on the current situation. If I have kids and a house, a few years old. If it's just me a year old max.
  3. Already have one, it was disposable income. I could have used it better but I ended up only down about $150.
  4. Money. I'm still only 20, I'll probably end up with an S3 or A4 next time around, either white or nardo.
  5. TFW you get CSGO for free and have sunk $1400 into it...
  6. If that's all you'll be using it for then yes. Depending on the browsing you'll be doing I'd seriously consider a tablet.
  7. It's that fucking hot in here by balls are stuck to my chair and I've got pants on.

  8. My dream car that I would no doubt be able to buy has always been an Audi A3. I ended up buying one at 19
  9. I've got the standard Janoski Max, dude, they're comfy as hell.
  10. If it's not £13 I'm getting robbed, to be fair I'm constantly listening to music literally 2.5hrs in the gym, 30 min drive, and when I'm just chilling at home for about 4 hours.
  11. Think of how much you spend on Amazon every month, if you can save more than £1 per month you're more than paying for the NUS card, while you're a student you've really got to learn to manage your money, especially if you're living in accommodation and not at home since you have to buy food and such. I got one and at the end of the year totalled everything up and saved over like £250 from the card, so for me it was more than worth it.
  12. Not a student any more and my Spotify has gone up to like £13, I feel like crying every month
  13. I've had one before, Spotify half price pays for the card 6x a year.
  14. Because the EVGA version looks so much nice than the 970...
  15. So as you may or may not know my 7870 Ghz recently died and I've been without a GPU for about 3 months. SO i'm in the market for a new GPU, I don't really want AMD again however I have a strict colour scheme I want to stick to, grey and black since it's the theme I'm going for with my build. I need a 4GB card because I was at 1.8GB on my 2GB and I want room to expand. Current Specs: CPU - Intel i7-3970X Mobo - Gigabyte X79-UP4 PSU - Corsair HX750 Is the 970 worth the extra £70 odd? If so throw me your suggestions Cheers, Sam
  16. I work out 6 days a week, your muscle only takes 48hrs to fully recover as this is how long protein synthesis takes to occur which rebuilds you muscle once it is torn from exercise. You could try a bro split which hits every muscle once a week but I have my own personal split that took me about a year to fully develop. My version is much more intense and you really need to be committed to it and have the energy for every single workout because it's hard, but what you get out of it in such a short amount of time is insane, usually acting twice as fast since you're working the muscle more often. Or you could get a hold of some gear and throw mass on then take some nolvadex to retain the most of it while you come off your cycle, but I'd choose the first. Source: Used to be fat as shit, now have a six pack. EDIT: For the record, I'm squatting 3 plates, DL 3 plates and bench is shit at 2...

This video should really help, it's meant for your neck but it should correct your spine.

I'm kind of the same with my cardio, I'd much rather walk at a 15% gradient that run on a 0%, make it a lot harder.

So I've always wondered how a tech community stays fit and health, whether it's just having the right diet or exercising during your free time. Feel free to drop your methods down in the comments and those who are looking to get fit feel free to ask some questions about anything you'd like to know EDIT: i Should say that I used to be 260lbs, now down to 199lbs with about 20lbs left to lose depending on how my body wants to store it. I'm currently doing a 6 day split at the gym consisting of two lower body, two upper body and two abs days. I don't usually go for 1RM's but I'm currently at: Squat - 120kg/264lbs for 4 reps Bench - 100kg/220lbs for 3 reps Deadlift - 150kg/330lbs for 4 reps
