COVIDIOT of the week goes to...

(FYI for Non-Australian's Bunnings is a hardware store)
This apparently happened in Melbourne, Victoria which has made wearing of masks in public mandatory due to being an infectious hot spot and has seen a large spike in cases in the past few weeks. $200 fine for refusing to wear a mask in public without a valid reason (ie medical reason preventing you from wearing a mask).

    Oh look, she got arrested.

    Quote

"If you arrest me I will have you charged with false arrest, and what's more it's armed arrest because you have a weapon and I don't!"

FYI refusing to provide your identity to police when requested is an offence and they can detain you until they determine your identity.

And there's more videos in that twitter thread.
    What an absolute crackpot.

Thankfully we didn’t have a whining Karen just yet when I asked our employees how customers behaved and reacted to the store guidelines of mandatory face masks inside. Not sure about Oz or other countries but we have a law that criminalizes lying about patient history (travel and contact) in times of epidemics and pandemics.
