If it still works, there's a very good chance that nothing happened. If something had been damaged you would know. If you're still concerned though, try running a benchmark that utilizes all of the VRAM just to make sure a single chip didn't burn or something.

I'm probably negating everything I said, but I'd prefer a display with at least 150PPI, even though I'm using a display with 108PPI. So 4K actually makes sense in certain cases.

I used to have a 5k Imac, but with the same size screen (27") I got used to 2560x1440 within a week. Even though 1080p was only mainstream for a few years, I think that it's already on it's way out to make way for 1440p and 4K displays. Yes, 4K is overkill unless it's a 65" TV.

You're welcome. I wish I had a better answer, but Apple is quite restrictive when it comes to product support, even though they do tend to support their products longer than other companies. To get the keyboard backlight working you'll need drivers from Apple, or a community-created patch / custom driver, assuming such a thing even exists.

I have an A1278 MacBook using windows 10 pro 64bit. I didn't use Bootcamp, which is why I specifically outlined that I did a dirty install. It has been opened, and I put a 64gb SSD in there.
 
EDIT: Oh, and another thing; the keyboard backlight won't turn on and I have no clue how.

Thanks, JDE and AperumDesign for the other resources, because even though the formfactors.org pdf is helpful, it doesn't include all of the mounting holes' positions.
