  1. No this won't cause any problems it just wont allow the benefits of 1.4.
  2. It tends to be a feature on Strix cards but I am sure that some other cards do it.
  3. They are PWM Fan Headers that will control case fans based on GPU temperature.
  4. Are all of your screens set to the same resolution and and refresh rate as they would need to be for Nvidia surround. I am not sure that the Max-Q or mobile SKU's will support Nvidia surround, but cannot find any up to date information on this.
  5. You are correct do not defrag an SSD. Have you cleared the files on the advanced tab of disk cleanup?
  6. If it did I would highly doubt it would be significant enough to affect the signal and if it was then I would suggest that most companies would rule this out at the R&D phase of designing the product.
  7. You do not need a 1000W power supply for this build. It is definitely overkill. The rest of it looks ok but I am sure someone who is in America would be able to advise regarding value. I would focus on getting a good quality power supply that is in tier S or A in the power supply list that can be found on this forum at the following link. https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/1116640-psu-tier-list-40/
  8. Mine is absolutely fine it is just as hot as it was before it had the skin on.
  9. With the value of the boards associated with this it might be worth looking into someone doing a socket swap for you? I know it is possible but not sure about the success rate on them though.
  10. So heres the thing. The aforementioned company has the 9980xe listed at over £700 below retail at £1078.79. Link is below. My usual "if it is too good to be true then it usually is" sense is kicking in. Or do you think it could be that the new 10 series refresh on x299 is going to be significantly cheaper to combat the threat of ryzen 9 is having a knock on effect on the 9 series prices. Would appreciate your thoughts on this one, particularly if you have bought a CPU from them in the past. This I think would make things interesting in deciding between intel or ryzen for HEDT. https://www.novatech.co.uk/products/intel-core-i9-9980xe-extreme-edition-skylake-x-refresh-processor-retail/bx80673i99980x.html?gclid=Cj0KCQiA5dPuBRCrARIsAJL7oejPvtY5L_YDB1rX4vWP5HtH22VBb-u2O6btWaGUoaXbOqI14Bc7j4UaAqNPEALw_wcB#utm_source=google&utm_medium=base&utm_campaign=products
  11. No it isn't the box will be receiving data from your router wirelessly and then sending it from the booster to your PC by the ethernet cable. This is not an ethernet connection although your computer will see it as such. Why do you ask if you don't mind me asking?
  12. Have you installed razer synapse as that is required to use 7.1 on Razer headsets. Can be found at the following link. https://www.razer.com/synapse-3
  13. I am currently using corsair sp fans, but looking into some of the black noctua's or the corsair maglev fans.
  14. https://support.fractal-design.com/helpdesk/attachments/4048228714 According to the manual it will definitely fit and you could go up to a 420 on the top. The manual link is above and it will show you multiple configurations for water-cooling on there. I also have one with a normal 360 in the top and a thick 240 in the front.
  15. Have you verified that the bios on the board is up to date as some boards need a bios update to supports Ryzen 3000?
