PC UPGRADE CORE2 DUO E6750
DisguisedDemise replied to Acciptris's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
Mabe look for a Quad core for that socket, sorry not too experienced in that department but try to look for maybe a core 2 quad or something, should help with the photoshop performance at least -
Also, sorry for derailing the thread
-
Yep he bought a new 6600k and for some reason a MATX Gigabyte mobo for an NZXT S340
-
I should do that too, had to go over there and refit it for him. The chip is fucked though as he keeps freezing when he tries to game. Like full on freezes, told him to RMA it but refuses to wait without a PC. This is why we cant have nice things people

Id do the same, and blame him for not asking for my expertise haha, had a situation like this recently, guy tried to fit his new processor and 212 evo, put so much thermal paste on that it leaked out all over the socket and pins UGH

Then all things considered it should be fine -
Vega FE Hybrid Mod - Passing the 1080 but 400W+ Power Draw
DisguisedDemise replied to Hunter259's topic in Tech News
Totally agree here, i feel like AMD have done well considering this budget, to cover two whole sections of the component market and still produce some of the best processors around. Who cares if they dont produce the next 1080ti with vega. As long as they are still relevant in the mid to low tier they still do their job -
Ive always used a Steelseries QCK+ i totally reccomend it

Probably just shift the balance to R5 1600 and 1080, if the budget can stretch to a decent monitor, or if you can get one sooner rather than later, id reccomend that. -

Just go with a pentium and 1050ti i reckon, only rly needs 8gb of ram, hopefully can get an SSD to go with it -

Also if youre considering a 1070 maybe wait for Vega, see if its better value, unless youre against team red. I also feel like your system is a little unbalanced, (Top of the range i7 which i presume will be overclocked. But a midrange 1070 card? Why not a 1080 or something. Especially if youre considering anything higher than 1080p 60hz) -

Is this PC just for gaming? Sorry if you said it and i missed it -
Wantto suggest the NZXT S340 or the S340 Elite, but im not a major watercooling fanatic so you may want to get a second opinion
-
I love the NZXT S340 so im kinda biased but get it. you wont regret it
