Pretty sure that EA made their games available on steam right? Nah this is one of the few instances that less competition is a good thing. Steam is less shit than most of the other launchers anyways and if they go rouge it wouldn't be hard for those companies to restart their launchers. I personally don't want to deal with 5-6 launchers with some only existing to play one game Also you guys are forgetting about xbox, they have their own launcher with gamepass as well.

You're understating the impact quite a bit. Halo CE is the reason why shooters exist on console at all in their current state.

I'd honestly recommend checking it out, at least through gamepass. It's a lot better than 4 and 5 for sure. If not for the story, the gameplay is among the best in the series unfortunately it also seems to lack content, like forge/custom games which is why I haven't played multiplayer in a bit

Id argue that the campaign of Infinite is better than reach or odst, but ce, 2, 3 cannot be beat

I was assuming this thing would be more like a barcode scanner though, I mean we still use those despite being however old they are I also assumed that it would be much easier to emulate software in the future than it would be to recreate some obselete form of hardware. Though when we're dealing with timeframes as long as the OP, even that would be uncertain

Gamepass is already a really good deal, I don't get why they would add more to that unless they're planning on increasing the price soon. I especially don't get why they're going after Activision after the whole controversy, but maybe they realized it's a cheaper this way. If activision is found guilty, does MS have to pay the price? Activision/Blizzard games haven't been good in a while, maybe a change of ownership will help. I mean a lot of MS games were good this year, like Halo and Forza.

3050 already existed in laptops though right? So we know that its performance is going to be at least slightly better than whatever performance those laptops get

See here's the thing, many animals don't rely on vision as much as humans do. That rat probably relies on smell more than vision to live in an environment so the illusion probably won't be effective According to a quick google search, rats are extremely nearsighted, so the rat probably can't even see whats on that screen lol. Its probably like designing a videogame with no visuals, only audio cues, and expecting people to play well. Except the audio cues are mostly in a really high and really low frequency which you can't hear anyways. I bet that rat is just going on memory

In all fairness battlefield 4 had a bad launch as well. And I remember battlefield 1 going on sale around the same timeframe. Dice/EA is kinda known at this point for releasing games in a buggy state and patching it later on Haven't given it a shot, and I might do so if its free. Though I fundamentally hate the idea of characters in battlefield, I think it goes against the spirit of being a "no name soldier on a massive battlefield" that I got from previous games. And halo infinite is also free and probably better too

As others have mentioned, what are the prices? A 3060ti is indeed the better card but I wouldn't pay that much more for it. Keep an eye out for local stores as well, I got my 3070 for less than what you're paying for that 3060 at a local shop a few months back

Would be strange for sure, given that the chip shortage means that most people probably won't get their hands on ddr5 for a while. And given that ddr6 most likely wont be backwards compatible or anything, I think I'd hold off on upgrading my mobo for a while. Can a CPU even use 12800 mhz? I know that chips want faster memory now, but that sounds very unneccesary for normal work. But on the other hand 4000 mhz was considered useless just a few years ago and its becoming more widespread now.

Do people actually want this? Why would you want to spend your entire life in a lie? I mean immersiveness in games is nice, but I'd always want the option to leave it and do real things; it would be ruined for me if I didn't have the knowledge its a game
