When you say it's hitting the limit, do you mean including cached data? Because you don't need more if data is being cached.

    just go buy this.
I dont think 8 gigs extra is the way to go, but 4 will set you up for a good while.

    You need more RAM then.

I have 16GB and I've never had usage go that high, so it surprises me.  I've never played Minecraft before though.

As far as I can tell atleast, the problem may be your VRAM, now im not saying you should get a better Graphics card, but i suggest you try and update drivers. According to the shaders site it uses mainly VRAM.
Also, have you tried setting more ram to minecraft?
[Word shouldnt suffer from lack of ram xD]

I have noticed that several games I play inc VR App's now go over 8GB RAM use - on their own let alone running anything else same time.

16GB RAM and SSD is advised for the full range of gaming inc VR in my opinion.

If you have the money then yeah, your computers looks as if it will last a while and RAM base usage is allways increacing so it might help the future proofing.

Are you maxing out your RAM capacity? Then yes. If you're mostly sitting at 80% or lower, then no.

Quick question; One, do you suffer from chrome tabs syndrome [so many tabs opened it starts crashing and being slow]
Two; What graphics card do you have, as specific as possible please.

Once you've awnsered those i should be able to help.

I second what Cookie said, and here's why:

If your system is pegged at 144hz  output to the monitor, you aren't going to experience too much screen tearing, if any, with normal vertical sync enabled. If your output rate drops below 144hz then you may notice some slight stutter. That stutter is what GSync will fix, by capping your refresh rate.

As long as you're hitting 144hz consistently, G-Sync is not worth it. If you regularly fall below that, however, you may consider adding the feature to your purchase.
