  1. You actually can just say "fuck this" and kill the raiders instead. I think you can choose that path if you have Preston with you when you go to Nuka World, or you might be able to tell the lead raider to go fuck himself and do it that way. Aside from that I agree that Far Harbor and Automatron are worth it. Nuka World was just kind of lame, even if you do choose to go the good route and kill the raiders all that does is make anything you do in Nuka World entirely pointless.
  2. Is your cut like turning red or something? If in the next few days it turns angry red, feels unusually painful or feels hot to the touch then you might have an infection but in all likely hood your body will fight it off within a couple of days. If it continues for like 10 days plus or if you develop a fever then maybe see a doctor. Yeah that's called a burn. You're going to need emergency skin grafts for that and years of reconstructive surgery.
  3. Try not to worry about it, the dude was just doing his job. I'd only make an issue out of it if he had confronted you and demanded you turn out your pockets or something.
  4. With my 970 and my shitty FX 8350 with no overclock I was able to pull off a steady 60 FPS in Witcher 3 with a few exceptions. Ultra was not so smooth and my frames went into the toilet if I had hairworks enabled but what can you expect.
  5. The question is immaterial. Legal or not you can and probably will get in deep shit with the school if you got caught. You probably won't face legal consequences but you might get detention or get suspended, might have your computer lab privileges revoked and and receive an automatic fail in your class for misusing school resources. Hope it was worth it.
  6. Your best bet would be to look into records on the 1/4 mile. There's one were a guy did it in like 3 something seconds but he was using a hydrogen peroxide fueled rocket. This is the fast one using an internal combustion engine that I could find in a cursory youtube search. I believe the fastest 1/4 mile ever done in a street legal car is like 6.18 seconds but these records are being broken allllll the time.
  7. Kind of a toss up between Mega Man X and the original DOOM, two games that got me into gaming.
  8. Abandonia is a good site for abandonware. Also try GOG, but that ain't going to be free.
  9. I enjoyed the game quite a bit but I had some issues with it. Firstly, aside from an improved cover system the game doesn't seem to have progressed very much from Human Revolution. You still have tons of augments to chose from but most of them are utterly worthless, the new augments even more so (aside from remote hacking). You can still choose to do either a lethal or non-lethal run just like in HR but just like in HR the non-lethal stealth run with minimal use of augs is still the easiest path through this game which is kind of counter intuitive IMO. Infact on my first run through the game I cranked the difficulty to the max and used only the stun gun and hand to hand combat for all my take downs and I didn't die a single time. Second, even though I found Golem to be a really cool setting, it was confusing as all hell for me to navigate. It's possible that the game devs did this on purpose to encourage exploration but there just wasn't really anything interesting to find there. Third, the whole upgrade system for your weapons felt completely pointless and didn't seem to have any real effect. I'm referring specifically to how you can upgrade your damage or range for certain weapons and not the modding system where you can add a laser sight or whatever which is basically the same system they used in HR. Fourth, while I liked the story I found the game to be far too short and in fact I thought the game felt like the first act of a larger story, the game was nothing but set up with no real pay off at the end. I don't care if Squeenix wants to make this into a trilogy or whatever but each game needs to be its own self contained experience with a beginning a middle and an end even if they want to leave it on a cliff hanger. It felt like they took my $60 and said "Okay, well if you want the rest of the game you're going to have to wait a few years and then give us even more money." I despise that kind of shit. Even though I'm kind of hating on the game I did enjoy the game as a whole and yes the graphics were very pretty...even if the game ran at like 38 FPS on a good day.
  10. If you can find the Mega Man Zero trilogy on DS it's well worth checking out but be warned those games are insanely hard. Also the DS Castlevanias are pretty good, especially Order of Ecclesia.
  11. I didn't much care for Diablo 3. One of the big differences from the first two games is the dungeon lay outs aren't randomized giving the game very little replay value imo.
  12. I get this issue occasionally if I Alt-Tab out of the game for a second and come back. It usually works itself out in about 30 seconds but sometimes I have to restart the game.
  13. The heaviest thing I personally have ever received in the mail was my computer case which in the package was like 40 lbs or something. I used to work at a place where we were doing a project that involved getting coolers packed with samples shipped 2-day shipping from Israel, each one weighed around 200lbs and we'd get up to seven of those coolers a day for like three months. The cost must have been astronomical.
  14. It's not bad but I'm really glad I didn't spend any money on this game.
  15. It's not that the people in charge are idiots, it's that they're bought and paid for.
  16. It's weird, it doesn't really matter to me how bad the graphics are in a game as long as it's from a time period I can remember as a child. Like, I can devote hours to an NES game because I grew up with it, even if the game is one I never played as a kid. But something like Atari just has no appeal to me outside of a few games. I can really only appreciate retro graphics if it's from an era I can remember. Doom, Half Life, Shadowrun, Fallout 1+2, those games never get old to me. But something like Wasteland or Ultima or old ZX games can only hold my interest for a few minutes at best. A notable exception is games on the Apple IIe, but there again I played a lot of edutainment games on Apple II back in my elementary school days. I guess the age of the software is irrelevant, just so long as there's some kind of nostalgic connection.
  17. You probably got dust in there which is causing the write head to eat the disk alive. I'd replace it ASAP.
  18. In order to JTAG a 360 you need two things. 1) and early model 360, not sure exactly which model number but the earlier the better and 2) at some point microsoft released an update that bricked JTAG'd 360s so you'll need to find a 360 which never got that update so basically a 360 which has been unconnected from the internet for the last 10 years. Final verdict? More trouble than it's worth.
  19. Nintendo. I hate some of their practices but when it comes to games Nintendo can do no wrong in my eyes.
  20. I hadn't considered that. hmm I will have to think on this.
  21. ooh! How bout Newton? Then you can call him Newt, like that kid from Aliens!
  22. If you want a name that's math related why not just call him Isaac or Pythagoras or something?
