  1. Google pissed off at least one guy when they decided to shut down a service - never mind not supporting it. https://arlogilbert.com/the-time-that-tony-fadell-sold-me-a-container-of-hummus-cb0941c762c1#.i6ykykgn1 A couple of the articles I've read suggested Fitbit would refund people for the Time 2. Corporations break promises and can ideas all the time. That's just the flighty tech world we live in now. Rush something to market, and once it's out there, start on the next version, leaving early adopters feeling a bit underwhelmed. I preordered an LED lighting product at what was supposed to be a great price, not only did it get to Best Buy shelves 3 weeks before I got mine - Best Buy put them on sale for less than my special pre order price.
  2. Quicktime 6.5 Make sure you have at least 384MB of RAM. Source: System requirements from below PDF http://www.adobe.com/aboutadobe/pressroom/pressmaterials/creativesuite2/pdfs/cs/Whats_New_in_Creative_Suite_2.pdf
  3. I would download trials or free versions of paid software, they have an incentive to show you how good their software is and hope it entices you to buy it. If you have a mac, try garageband http://www.multitrackstudio.com/download.php https://www.ohmstudio.com/shop http://midieditor.sourceforge.net http://www.nch.com.au/midi/ http://www.reaper.fm/download.php
  4. Do you want to run Windows 7 on a Mac Plus, or do you want to install an old mac os on a PC? If you just want to play around with old software, you MAY be able to find an emulator. It may even have a little blurb on the mac plus' wiki page. Edit: not sure if we can link to emulators so I removed it.
  5. By gag gift, I mean the gift they open not realizing it is not their actual gift, hopefully some temporarily crushing disappointment ensues, then they are given their real gift, and their eyes light up. What would you call that if not a gag gift?
  6. I like to give gag gifts. This is one that I think is more funny if you've seen the commercial - so if you got a squatty potty (basically a foot stool for your throne), would you at least think it was a little funny or am I wasting money here? I saw it at Bed Bath & Beyond a couple weeks ago and probably only noticed it because I had seen the commercial posted on a site a few weeks before that. By the way, the commercial is below. Only the first 3 seconds are funny. Also, a great way to lay off frozen desserts for a while. Although Menchie's always makes me think mensies.
  7. Netflix jokes about piracy, which means they're on board, right? http://arresteddevelopment.wikia.com/wiki/Showstealer_Pro_Trial_Version
  8. Under the heading Why are voice-assisted headphones useful "Voice-assistance helps users save time by allowing the user to simply say any song title, artist name, or genre. Dictation actually can save people up to 3x the amount of time as typing. We believe voice-assistance will aid the current music listening experience: turning on your phone, logging in with a password, opening a music streaming app, manually searching or typing to find songs." I have an awful phone and I can still ask it to play music. What phones do they expect people to be using?
  9. You're not supposed to tell anyone... nobody ever makes it to the end.
  10. I have a custom pc and love it for gaming and rendering, and overall building and upgrading which is a hobby in itself, but my main machine is a retina macbook pro, and i love it for browsing, photoshop, streaming, I use airplay to watch stuff on my laptop on my tv - its no nonsense, always there on the ready and I move it room to room at home. I have a motorola android phone because friends convinced me I needed to get out of the apple ecosystem, and I really regret it, but it was the fact that I went for a $200 phone as opposed to an android equivalent to an iphone - not the fact that it is android. I suspect the people who convinced me to buy a cheap phone never owned a high end phone, and felt it wasn't needed and don't realise what they're missing. "You cant use an SD card with an iPhone" Yeah, well I can't use an SD card with my piece of shit phone either. The salesman convinced me to buy one with the phone, he didn't even know the specs of the phone. I will either be purchasing an iphone or a high end android - just still don't know where I stand on that one.
  11. I have access to a weller portasol - when I've had to use it, its been great. I don't do much soldering these days so I can't imagine paying more than twice what I did for a yihua station for a portable iron - but if you're going to be using it frequently or for work, I would say go with the best you can afford.
  12. I believe this fellow used a couple splitters. Edit: Actually - its been a few years since I saw this video, but thinking about it, I doubt he'd have them connected to fan headers. Probably just to molex connectors - but still with splitters I'm sure.
  13. Replace the pasta with a couple sticks of RAM. And maybe clean the fecal matter out of your CPU socket. I don't see your main pc specs. Try reposting them?
  14. You guys shouldn't questions cid fan's facts. First, if you do, its quite possible you're a dumbass as he pointed out, and second, youtube doesn't allow just ANYBODY to comment on things. There are qualifications involved. Like an account.
  15. Well at least you got to practice your cable management (looks great by the way) I had the same issue with an AIO solution (one for video card, one for CPU) and I did what Coaxialgamer suggested, left one fan off. It worked temporarily - there was no issue other than I felt it was cluttered. Cooling was actually better than I expected with AIOs. In the long run I ended up getting a giant case - a Corsair Graphite 760T but I ended up not being able to fit it under a desk so it now sits on a desk behind a couple monitors. But man is it roomy. Half the case looks empty. Life is all about compromises. One less fan on a rad or a giant case that ends up in a weird spot.
