  1. It would really say a lot about Facebook if they ultimately decided to not comply with the laws if they’re enforced and just give up on the EU. And whatever it would say about the company would not be good for the rest of us.
  2. I wonder if this is going to push back the public release of iOS 14 as well or if we’ll still get that round the normal timeframe, considering the betas seem to be happening pretty much on a normal timeframe.
  3. Decided to upgrade from my 32 GB 9.7” iPad Pro to something with a bit more screen area and storage. Got the 128 GB 11 Pro 2020 and an Apple Pencil.
  4. Mark Posted an Update today. The TLDR...er TLDW...is that the issue is resolved, accounts are reinstated, and there's still a few things that are being worked on but someone from YouTube did also acknowledge that this was a big f**k up and tried to explain why it happened in the first place.
  5. And not just that. I'd assume for a lot of these people, it's a first time offense. What does it say when a company's reaction to a first time offense is completely blocking you from accessing an account. That's like making one improper turn and having your license taken away.
  6. When my Walmart was selling them they had them on the shelf non-refrigerated and they were fine. I would chill them before I drink them most of the time as a personal preference but other than that I never got sick or anything.
  7. I just got done watching the video and was getting ready to post it as well. Glad someone figured out the best place to put it--I was scratching my head. On that note, this is BS. I wasn't affected (I very rarely watch livestreams on YouTube) but I was getting angry just watching the video. First off, he asked for the emote to be spammed, so that right there should have stopped there being an issue. If there's an automated system, great. But immediately banning a persons entire google account over a few emotes? WTF. This really goes deeper than Mark got into. Yeah, you lose your services you pay for, but what about someone on Android who uses their google account for everything? Photo backups? Contacts? I'm curious how getting your google account banned would affect something like a subscription to...I dunno...Google Fi? Google and YouTube screw up a lot but I feel like this one has the potential to really get out of hand if they don't get this resolved ASAP. Hopefully this makes it onto the next WAN Show because I'm sure Linus is going to have a LOT to say about this one.
  8. I just don't understand how Micosoft and Mojang couldn't get the performance up to par when there's plenty of mods out there that run just fine. Were they really aiming for this to be that ambitious?
  9. I still don't think I could bring myself to get contacts -- the idea of putting a piece of flexible plastic on my eye makes me shudder just thinking about it. I know when I finally do break down and get some kind of VR (I'm actually thinking about an Occulus Quest, depending on what other software they put out for it) I'm probably going to have an...interesting time, to say the least. Fortunately for me, my glasses aren't big so (fingers crossed) it won't impact my experience to poorly. That being said, I'm still quite a way away from actually being able to afford VR, but when I do, just know I will be playing a lot of Beat Saber.
  10. I've seen some on Amazon but I don't know for sure that they would work in your specific use case.
  11. I don't see this as a real possibility. As others have said, Microsoft tried and failed in the mobile market. The most I see them doing at this point would be bettering Android integration year over year and maybe furthering the Samsung partnership. Apple and Google are so deep rooted in the mobile industry at this point that I think even Huawei is going to struggle if/when they launch their own OS. That being said, I don't really want them to get an ecosystem either. I understand the "it just works" philosophy of Apple's ecosystem, but I think Google is doing it in a more user friendly way. It's a lot easier for me to access my Google Photos, Docs, and even movies and music on my iPad than it is for me to access my Apple content on my Pixel 3 XL. Movies Anywhere has been great for syncing movies between devices, but it's high time Apple open up their TV app so that movies that don't sync with Movies Anywhere and TV shows can actually be accessed. Ecosystems are GREAT until you decide to move on to something else. That's what really needs to be fixed moving forward in the future.
  12. My thoughts exactly. I'd buy one of these in a heartbeat.
  13. The Power of Love - Huey Lewis and the News (Finally something good came on the music system at work!)
  14. So basically they should have left it as digital only and called it a day?
  15. I always tried to look at Apple in a good light because of them appearing to care about user privacy. After some of the news I've seen, combined with their battle against right to repair, I definitely look at them differently. Going to be interesting to see how these lawsuits that will inevitably pop up go.
