  1. I would assume it will work just fine. My ancient Asus Prime Z370 works just fine with iCUE
  2. I have a few alexa speakers around the house. My bedroom, my daughter's room and kitchen/dining area. There are a few good advantages to having them. If you live a busy life you can easily set reminders. My wife does that when she is nothome and she knows that I am. So she uses her alexa to constantly nag me to do that thing that I've promised last week. I live in a fairly large house. Having smart bulbs all over the place controlled by alexa is convenient. If you're going to bed for example you can keep light on, and then once you're in the bed just say "Alexa bed light off" and she turns them off. Same if you need lights without getting to the switch. Good example is my hallway light switch is close to my daughter's room, but very far away from my room. So instead of going in the dark, I can just ask alexa in my room to turn it on when I'm going for a midnight fridge raid. Its also a decent quality speaker. So if you're doing something around the house you can ask alexa to connect to your phone and use it a a bluetooth speaker for music/podcast/whatever. And other miscellaneous things such as weather, amazon delivery notifications, alarm etc. I also thought it was a useless tech piece, but when you get use to it, its hard to go without it. There are many other things I use it for, but those are the main ones.

    nice avatar!

    Thanks
  4. I had Windows 11 22H2 update and some Cumulative update for .NET Framework. All of them installed with no issues after switching to Win 11 using that method
  5. Its up to you and games that you will be playing at1440p. Higher card means higher settings and more FPS. If that is important, then go for it. I had a similar dilemma just a few weeks ago and I decided to spend little extra to get more performance. Its was 3090 over 3080. Definitely worth it for me. So if you can afford it, just pull the trigger. It will be better this way rather than getting 6800xt and then thinking to yourself "Dam, if I had spend that much more I would've had better FPS right now"
  6. Its about 10-15% faster. So if you think 160 is worth it, go for it
  7. G203 is a good option Razer deathadder is also a nice mice if you can fin within the budget
  8. Literally installed Win 11 yesterday. Heres the guide I used. Literally delete a bunch of lines from a file using notepad and you should be good to go. Takes couple of minutes
  9. Here is a little turn of events. My friend offered me a barely used 12700k for 250. The performance at 4k sub 120 FPS shouldn't be any different, yet price is only half of 7900x. Now I'm wondering if I should take that instead of AM5. Yes its older gen, but still on par with 7000 ryzen, and an option for 13000 chip if I need more performance in the future. Would the same RAM be suitable for it? And as for the board, which one would you recommend?
  10. That looks like, pretty much everything as I needed. I like Asus boards because of their Bios. I feel right at home there. But if saving 100 bucks means I will get same value minus the Asus Bios, I will take that. Ryzen 7000 pricing is all over the place. Here in the EU its the same story. 7600x is currently cheaper than 7600 non X, 7900x and non X are the same price.
  11. Does it detect both RAM sticks every time you boot?
  12. What about system loads on a "bad" boot? How is CPU/GPU/RAM looking when you have a bad load.
  13. Don't go overboard with top exhaust fans. I learned the hard way that it chokes the CPU cooler to death. I have x2 120mm top exhaust and x1 120mm rear exhaust. Had to put top exhausts to minimum RPM in order to balance out the pressure and air movement throughout the case which is Meshify C
  14. Hard to tell what case this is, I assume something old given the hard drive and optical drive cages. Do you have more space in the back to stash away all the lose front panel connectors? I would rotate the CPU fan so that its cable is exiting at the bottom rather than at the top. Same for the PCI-E cable. I'd run it below the GPU. Other than that, its a lovely looking build.
  15. I assume you're talking about your tower CPU cooler? The way its installed in the picture is ideal. It gets fresh air from the intakes rather than a lovely toasty breeze from the GPU
  16. @mariushmYea I messed up with the namings, sorry about that. Ended up confusing myself and you lads. mini ITX is what I'm referring to, the "square" boards with 1 PCI-E slot and 2 RAM slots. But if you can give me suggestions for Torrent nano build, that would also be great. Same idea - AM5 board for 300-350USD to run Ryzen 9 7900, 32 gigs of RAM, reference 3090 Thats why I'm here, to learn more about "non standard" builds and sizes.
  17. Good day/evening/whatever ladies and gents. Its time to help me brainstorm my miniATX build. Why do I want mini ATX build? Because I always wanted to build a mini ATX PC. And since I'm planning an upgrade, I thought it would be a perfect opportunity for it. Main question you will ask - Price. Doesn't matter. Any reasonable ideas are welcome. I'm building myself a top tier gaming rig, there are no shortcuts here. Here is the situation and what I'm looking for: I need a case, RAM, PSU and motherboard recommendations. Main focus - Gaming. Nothing else. I'd like to go Ryzen for future upgradeability. So I'm probably going R9 7900 or R7 7700. Will see in a bit. One thing I have to decide is CPU cooling. I will be doing moderate overclocking. Currently I have Dark Rock Pro 4. Its a decent air cooler. Do you think it will handle slight overclock on Ryzen 9 7900? If not, the case will have to support a chunky AIO that can cool the CPU. And I'd like a recommendation for that too. So here is the list The case itself - I had a few options: Torrent Nano, Lancool 205M. Corsair's dual chamber cases also look appealing. Ease of cable management and options for an AIO. Open to suggestions. But I need something with great cooling and ease of use. Forgot to mention, I only have x2 SSDs, so don't worry too much about space for storage. CPU - Ryzen 7700 OR 7900 (Will do more research and decide which one is better for me Motherboard - Here I'd like to hear your thoughts. There are a decent amount of B650 and X670. I have a bias towards Asus, so TUF B650M-Plus looks like a decent option. I'd say a board up to 400USD would be a good limit. GPU - I have Reference RTX 3090. Not planning on changing it any time soon. Will probably skip 4000 series cards and buy 5000 when they come out, or maybe AMD will have some good discounts on 7900xtx. Will see RAM - Need a decent 32 gig set that pairs nicely with Ryzen chip. Nothing crazy, something that won't hold it back in games. PSU - A decent 1000W unit should do. Again, not looking for 80+ Titanium that cost 500+ I haven't been following hardware as of late, so you give me good options for 300 ish USD I think thats it. Waiting for your suggestions and ideas.
  18. With rx590 probably not. But depends on games you will play. Any modern game you will be GPU limited. If something older / competitive like League of Legends, CS GO etc, you will have some FPY improvements with 3600.
  19. ryzen 2600 or 3600 would be a great option. There are sub 100 euro AM4 boards out there. Pair it with a nice kit of 3000Mhz RAM and you should be good to go
  20. Alineware AW3423DWF, probably? It uses LG panel.
  21. We need more info. What "instability"? Frame drops, stutters, frame skipping, freezes, crashes? Also pinning 5700x in games seems odd. Even in a multiplayer game like WZ 2.0 it should stay 45-50% when 3080 is going full tilt. GPU and CPU temps (Assuming 3rd column is MAX) are quite bad. I had an Asus TUF 3080 and it never went above 70c while gaming at 4k. You have a an absolute monster 3080, it should be staying in the 60s most of the time That NZXT furnace just needs to go. There are a ton of amazing options for 100-150usb
  22. Corsair software in general has been a wild ride for me. Before that is was another soft that had a ton of bugs. Then iCUE came along and its still bugged. I have Commander Pro with 5 BQ Silent wing fans connected to it. But for whatever odd reason, the software refuses to monitor CPU or GPU temperatures until I manually enable CPUidWrapper64.dll. Has been like that for ages. I just have it pinned in the taskbard, so whenever I start gaming or putting some load on the system, I turn it on so that fans won't roast my system. As for the lighting, thankfully I enjoy plain white. So settings everything to a solid colour and nothing else is easy enough. Does look classy though
  23. Yeah I forgot that stupid piece of software existed. I have all of the lighting controlled through Corsair iCUE because I have lighting node, and it controls mobo AND my RTX3090 lighting all in one place. After re-enabling the motherboard RGB through Armoury Crate it works as intended. Completely shuts off everything when system powers down. And everything works in iCUE as before. Thanks for a great tip btw.
  24. In my case, on Asus Prime Z370, LED strip that goes along the RAM is permanently off now, even after system is up and running
