  1. :( Broke my Corsair Katar mouse while cleaning it, pressed down a little to hard with my thumb on the scroll wheel trying to clean in the grooves & it snapped the shaft that goes through the wheel in place. Could've been fixed with a nail if it happened on the button side but it was right where it inserts into the scroll & the mechanism is keyed.

  2. Thank you all I'll go ahead & enable it because I'm sure the government already knows about everything on my phone. My main concern is just if some random joe druggie stole my device now that I manage my bank account from it.
  3. I want to setup the fingerprint scanner on my Samsung Galaxy S7 for the phone itself, my bank's app & anything else I can. Ever since the day I got this phone though & saw someone else having theirs serviced because it wasn't recognizing their fingerprint, I've been too worried to try it. Is it really that bad or what? Is there a decent chance that some apps such as my bank's won't play well or is it more fool-proof than passwords? On Android Central, they said to grab 2 pics of my thumb going across the censor diagonally. Are they implying I slide it across or just press it down in that way? Also, will only that particular thumb & not any other finger of mine work to unlock the phone? Can a cut or callus inhibit the censors success rate?
  4. Thanks I'll give that a try soon.
  5. I had heard about that but the beginners guide video gave me the impression that you gotta go hardcore with game settings in order to get any kills. Maybe that just applies to the server you mentioned though.
  6. Why are all the characters silhouettes?
  7. So I've tried browsing on Steam & I've come to the conclusion I hate the way they sort things. Why can't everyone learn from Newegg & let me check boxes for what I am & aren't searching for to fine tune my search & or browsing results. I'm looking for a free, decently rated, third-person either Shooter, Action or Adventure RPG. I know WarFrame is an obvious first choice on Steam that checks all those boxes, but I want more options because I ain't deciding just yet. As some of you know I play RuneScape mostly, so my standards for graphics aren't too high lol. Although I do value a games U.I a lot & my recent week long Perfect World International experience left me with a massive headache so I'll never do that again. I also play a little Real Racing 3 on my S7 so if decent graphics are possible in whatever you suggest, fire away. What I don't want is something equally long term grindy as what I already do or completely pay to win. I love how you can do whatever you want at any time in R.S by not being restricted to pick a particular race at the beginning like many other games are. I've heard that's pretty rare in the free category though, so I guess you could say I'm looking for a poor-mans GTA. Thanks in advance & for everything else y'all have helped me with in the past.
  8. Originally I thought MSI was just slow to fix lower end hardware's software like my B350M Gaming Pro's BIOS. Although in their transition to move all LED functions to Mystic Light, it doesn't even work properly with higher end skews like my 3GB 1060 Gaming X. Sometimes the MSI logo doesn't light up at startup but the rest of the card does, only red is available too which works but I know it's RGB from when it used to be managed through MSI Gaming App >.<.

  9. Oh okay I wasn't sure if Win 10 was handling it for me or not. In that case I just won't worry about it unless the issues I had re-arise to a more severe degree. Thank you!
  10. Just to mention, I've had my Corsair Katar for over a year now & it has yet to double or misclick. I play RuneScape mostly too so I'm very hard on mice & keyboards due to just how the game works. The only things I don't like about it are the grooves in the scroll wheel tend to get gunked up & are hard to clean. When you do clean it with 50 Isopropyl Alcohol that can get between the rubber scroll wheel grip & the plastic wheel itself, causing slippage for a few days.
  11. Maybe try finding a used 970, that's around the same performance at a 1050Ti or 3GB 1060 I've heard.
  12. =\ I use Amazon for browsing prices but have yet to buy anything from there, especially with how much sales tax they charge compared to Newegg which has none. Who was the seller on Amazon? If Corsair then your manufacturers warranty still applies, just contact them directly.
  13. I think at least a 1070 if you want 144Hz as much as possible in the most demanding games.
  14. I got to thinking & started wondering if my MSI B350M Gaming Pro Motherboard's drivers are up-to-date or not. I've had audio & some network issues off & on but just assumed they were to related to Windows 10 & my ISP. I'm not even sure how to check if my: Ethernet, Audio, Chipset or Raid (even though I'll never use raid) drivers are current. On the support page for my board there's only 1 set available for each, which implies there hasn't been an update to them. Although the release dates are well after the older, more stable BIOS I'm running so I'm very confused. 1: Are those drivers usually included in new BIOS's? 2: How do I check what my current Ethernet, Audio, Chipset & Raid driver versions are?
  15. If it's doing it after only a month RMA it, most Corsair products have at least a 1 year warranty. Usually Logitech is the only company who has this problem in spades although I may try them again soon because I'm in need of an MMO mouse & 10-keyless mechanical keyboard.

Slowing adjusting to new ErgoChair 2, backs rea…

Haha yeah although I can't necessarily recommend this one either. Some undersides of the plastic parts were sharp enough to cut me & even though I'm only 141lbs. I almost bottom out on the only 3" foam cushion, hopefully they go with a mesh seat next time or I'll just find a way to get a Herman Miller Aeron in 5+ years.
  17. Slowing adjusting to new ErgoChair 2, backs really messed up from old swivel rocker though :(.

Ouch, Ik the pain but im still stuck on my trash chair. So your lucky :P

    2. dizmo

      dizmo

Interesting. It's like a Herman Miller but much, much cheaper.

Also good thing you finally got rid of your granny chair! That was probably destroying your back.

  18. I'm sorry I missed this, too many things came up. The ones others listed are good, I'm using Noctua's that came with my NH-U14S.
  19. If you've already mounted the cooler with it's pre-applied thermal paste once, you probably could reuse it but from what I've been told it's always best to apply a fresh dab each time it meets with a CPU.
  20. If I had to go with either I'd pick Curcial ballistix, from what I know they're a more renowned brand.
  21. According to Amazon it's compatible with LGA 1150, 1155, 1156 & 775 only.
  22. I'm looking to upgrade my possibly dying Actiontec Q1000 modem/router soon but need some unbiased network advice. Naturally the Centurylink rep recommended we just buy one of their Zyxel C1100Z's which supposedly would allow me to set device bandwidth priority. Since right now my existing model appears to favor any wireless device over a hardwired one with no ability to change it. Also this modem/router, gateway or whatever it's technically considered is a few years old & isn't the best at separating traffic for a smooth flow. The Zyxel C1100Z is priced at $140 on Amazon & I think my ISP's pricing may only be $20 below if that, so whatever brand/model I go with has to be under the $150 budget I'm setting. In addition, it also has to be VDSL2 capable since that's what they said is required for the best possible compatibility. He also recommended Actiontec as another brand but the only VDSL2 offerings I've found so far are the C1900A & C2000A. On a final note, we're paying $83 a month for 7.5Mbps down & 1.5Mbps up, I know that's horrible but we're still on contract until December 2018 & the infrastructure of the only Cable offering out here would result in ping skyrocketing into the 1000's during peak hours which is unusable for me. 1: Should I just buy the newer model my ISP offers? 2: If not, which better brand/model do ya recommend for my budget & connection?

Just finished upgrading my MasterCase Pro 3 & R…

True although in the case of 7A39v29 BIOS for MSI B350M Gaming Pro, even when I tried adjusting the LLC settings. It still refused to maintain a consistent voltage like my current BIOS does & on the default at that. If you wanna read more about my past dilemma on that check out that thread here. I really hope MSI releases a BIOS better than my current & that other one before my Aida trial expires :P.
  24. Haha yeah although some of the other ones do enable the crank to be positioned on either side. Hopefully also too after I research em further when the time comes, I'll be able to confirm the height adjustments. Because just like many things on Amazon, it seems they just can't get it right or list the same spec consistently lol.

Just finished upgrading my MasterCase Pro 3 & R…

Well I kinda lost the silicon lottery, 3.8GHz on 1.35V is the best I can do without going to 1.4V, on this BIOS anyway. The newest one has voltage issues when I tried it, setting to 1.35 it would creep up to 1.4+. I may try going for 3.9 on 1.4V now that my cooling can handle it on my current BIOS or if a new one comes before my Aida64 Extreme trial expires in Feb.
