  1. So I was idly looking at the PCPartPicker list for my first build (soon!), and I saw this: Is this a real problem? Should I perhaps choose a 1600MHz kit, or just run this one at 1.65V?
  2. Considering I don't lick, or indeed eat off of, my mobile devices, I'm really failing to see how this product is useful for me. If I was really desperate to have a sterile phone, I'd just use some isopropanol, which I have lying around anyway. EDIT: Removed incorrect assholery
  3. I like how even your cat fits with the colour scheme As for painting, I'm not entirely sure what I want to paint yet (and tbh I should probably wait until I actually have a computer :3)
  4. This build is only getting more awesome You're making me want to paint stuff now Also, 69th post, fuck yeah
  5. It looks so empty without a graphics card ;_; I like what you've done to hide the PSU cables, it really makes it look neat and tidy
  6. What does any of this (apart from randomly asking about VGA) have to do with displays?
  7. I don't believe they do, it's mostly cheapo cases and power supplies on their website. I wouldn't put it past them though.
  8. There's also iCute... Yes, someone decided to call their company iCute http://www.icute.com.tw/en/
  9. Excellent, it's working perfectly now. Thanks for the help dude Love ya
  10. I didn't word the OP very well, looking back. I get frustrated at the crazily long amounts of time it takes to kill someone in LoL, since I'm used to the near-instant deaths in FPS ('spesh with dem AK headshots). I'd still say that (from what I've seen) even the most damaging champions take FOREVER to slay their enemies, compared to how the games I play work. And yeah, Misha is my lesbian waifu
  11. Am I the only person who really, really doesn't like it when characters in some online multiplayer games (things like LoL and TF2 some to mind) are massive damage sponges? I mostly play/watch FPS (BF and CS), in which enemies die very, very quickly. As I am used to how these games work, this makes me feel somewhat frustrated when I try to play or watch people play League, for example, where enemies might take a good 30 seconds to a minute to take out, by which point they'll have ran away anyway. Even minions seem to take ages to kill - I'm just sat there going "die already!" when it takes more than a second to kill something. This isn't at all an issue with any of my friends (may of whom play LoL) - is it just me being strange or what? EDIT: reworded slightly for clarity
  12. I got myself a job cleaning vans for a friend of my Dad. I earn like £5 an hour. Luckily, since I'm only 16, I don't have bills or anything to pay, so all of my income can go towards the PC. My Dad's also giving me some money (between £500 and $750) based on my exam grades, which we find out on August 21st D: So yeah I haven't actually saved up for it quite yet, but I'm getting there!
  13. "So today I'm going to be unboxing this new motherboard from G.I.G.A.B.Y.T.E." "Yeah I just bought a new nuh-zuxt case from N.E.W.E.G.G." "Oh right, I got an F.R.A.C.T.A.L. case from nuh-cix"
  14. People who pronounce it "nuh-viddyuh" are the worst. It's like calling MSI "messy". Also, I've always just called them Nvidia. Capitalising the whole word makes things look cluttered to me. But yeah it hasn't been nVidia since like the 200 series or something
  15. I won't be water cooling my card(/s), at least for a while (but I get what you're saying). Also, the price differences I'm seeing, at least for 770s, doesn't seem to be reflecting any kind of hardware difference other than the higher clock speed. Well I won't be going with a blower-style cooler whatever I pick, it'll be something like an ACX cooler, which is the same (or at least it looks it) on the standard and overclocked versions.
  16. Hi again peeps, The real meat of the question is in the title, but I'll expand on it a little. Is there any point in spending the extra money on a factory overclocked card (what I've got in mind is something like the EVGA GTX 770 ACX SC), if I'm going to overclock it myself anyway? Would there perhaps be a slight OCing benefit, or would it just be a waste of money? Cheers, FullNuclearBreakfast
  17. Oh, he's 15 now. I swear he was 13 last time I checked (and no that wasn't two years ago)
