    extensive video library

Are we talking about movies that can be ripped/downloaded again or are do you make videos professionally and those are for clients/a YT Channel/etc?

Because tbh, I wouldn't really try to hyper secure content like movies when they are relatively easy to get again. If it's latter, then you should probably consider Cloud Backups for the most important stuff.

  2. Oof, that's not a good position to be in.

First question: do you have a backup of the important data?

Then it sounds a little sus, that both drives fail at the exact same time. Could be the cable (also weird), the PSU (also little weird) or my guess, maybe the controller? Could it be that these two are on a separate one?

Did you buy all 10 drives at the same time? If so, rebuilding the array with a new drive or two might lead to more dying quickly, so I'd be very cautious.

@problemsolver hi thanks for replying again!

yes the drivers are up to date! I also tried to uninstall them once to see if that would fix the problem but no sadly.
    (with that special uninstaller software).

    tv is up to date!

The 60hz option is there but when I select the option and apply it the screen goes black.

I’m aware that I can not stream netflix in 4k.

What happens when you select 1080p at 60hz? Does that work? Are you using the same HDMI Port as the PS5 for testing?

might just be a bad connection on the fan connector.. i (somewhat) recently bought an RTX 1050 from @FloRolf with the same problem, and UPS did such a number on it that the problem had shaken away by the time it arrived.

yeah that was weird lol. But i just installed a 120mm fan below it, took the cooler shroud of and had it run "passivley" for the time. As it's a low power card it was just fine.

Sorry for the delay in this, I got stoned and started listening to Lo-Fi and lost track of time. That is, we are over, yes there is a mix up with the end date so a show of goodwill we are reducing the min days requirement down to 19, so no one misses out due to my mistake

Thank you all for everything you've done this year, honestly I am truly humbled at the great number of people who joined us for this event. Wanting to help others with no direct reward to themselves is a most noble pursuit and one worth celebrating. So have a beer, a smoke, or hell have what may be your first real gaming session in 5 weeks tonight, because you have done yourselves proud.

You dropped this, King! 👑 🙌🏿

Thanks of course to the entire Team behind FoldingMonth!

I had a blast and so did my 7900XT and 2060KO with a combined 190m+ points. I will still continue on full throttle until Christmas to help beat Curecoin 😉

  6. A password manager is definitely the better option. If you don't trust it fully, you can try "Peppering" (I think it's called).

That basically means you just store your random 30 character password in the manager but before logging in you always add a personalized phrase (can be the same for all passwords basically, just don't write it down ever) at the end.

    So basically:

    %!Rj£j%3qTL01KR9bxGuhPINEAPPLEPIZZA

Edit: a Passwordmanager also saves you from phishing attacks. When the website is called "facebcck.com" you might overread it, but a password manager won't.

  7. Multiple things could be at play here.

    Faulty GPU

Faulty Ram (config with 8+4 is a little weird too)

    Driver issues

    Faulty PSU

    Overheating

So I'd try to narrow it down as much as possible. Starting with PSU, GPU and Overheating probably. Try running a different but demanding game and see if you run into similar issues.

  8. Does anyone know what's up with the Project 19600?

It runs extremely efficient on my 2060KO but doesn't max it out.

Usually with other projects I get like 1.6m PPD at 150w power consumption (Afterburner)

With the 19600 I get only 1m PPD but at just below 60w and GPU Clock is locked at 1200mhz instead of 1700+ 🤔 utilization is in the 90% range though.

  9. Honestly this all sounds rather terrible. I would suggest getting a bigger Synology. That way you can easily import your Raid Array so you don't have to go through massive hoops trying to move the data. You stay in a known environment and if setup correctly you should be able to just extend the raid array or just build a second one.

I'd look at the used market for some of them DS18XX or whatever they are called.

  10. Yes you can use them in pull or push, that doesn't really matter in terms of cooling performance. I would however NOT replace them with 140mm fans because they wouldn't seal against the rad and therefore not create static pressure to push the air actually through the rad. Keep them in the front and let the hot air from the GPU rad be the exhaust. Not sure if you can reach all the way to the top but else let it exhaust elsewhere.
