  1. Hello everyone, I no longer hang around here but I said I'd post about how it went, and I always hate those people that ask for help, then say he/she will update with the result and that's the end of it! TLDR: They work great, problem solved. So, I bought 2 Ubiquiti AC Pro, each one for one floor of my house. They're amazing, and I can go upstairs and never notice any cuts or erratic behaviour, it's been around 3 months like this, so I'm happy I listened to the ones recommending me Ubiquiti, and I think they were the only ones truly understanding my problem. I only regret 1 thing... not buying the HD version instead of the Pro. Basically the HD version uses Wave 2, which my Razer Blade and my wife's Dell XPS both use, which would be around 85MB/s instead of 45MB/s that we get now. Thanks again to the people that recommended me the AC Pro, only a shame I didn't go for the HD version!
  2. I can't wait until Netflix starts to eat all these, at least I hope so because the fact that they were able to do this crap for decades and still keep sales up is embarrassing for all us consumers, which shows how lazy, careless and retarded we are when it comes to exercise our power.
  3. Are we talking about a girl or a woman? You describe the situation like it's a girl but then you say woman... I'm just gonna put this here...
  4. And that's why I wrote "bad" news instead of bad news. The other posts about Apple from him are the same kind of "bad" news. Oh man, I remember when I was in that phase about hating Apple and being super PC Master race, glad that's over phew!
  5. Wow, you really do hate Apple! All you do is post "bad" news about Apple haha
  6. I usually listen to Milk Street from Christopher Kimball, which some people would know from America's Test Kitchen. Maybe you could also check Audible and listen to some audiobooks.
  7. For a forum full of people that love technology, each news about new technology receives an incredible amount of hate and negativity. I like some things from this community but man, Reddit has more positive and constructive people by far.
  8. Boy, this user does really like a lot to make controversial-yet-not-informative posts ha?
  9. Glad to see there's still some sanity around here, still not my kind of forum, but I'm glad not everyone is like that, because after reading arguments like "they should give X for every Y dollars, if not they shouldn't do this IMO" one loses a bit of hope on humanity.
  10. I don't even try anymore. Most people just loves to tear apart "rich people" because they don't have that kind of money, they don't really care about the people that needs those resources, they say things like "they do it to avoid taxes" or "they could donate their own money!". Yes they avoid taxes, you think the people that need that food cares about that? Yes, they could donate their own money, and they do it, often, this entire fucking forum full selfish jealous people would need at least 1500 years to help the same amount Tim Cook has helped. You all should be ashamed of your attitude, hell, I'm ashamed of YOUR attitude, probably this is my last message on this forum. BTW, if you could read at least a little you'd see Apple is directing 100% of the donations, so they're actually taking the hit of the costs of transactions. If Apple would only care about selling products they wouldn't put a pop up or a button that could potentially send your money away from them. But you all just want to trash about rich people I know.
  11. Tried Bing, and all the time I wrote something the first ad was www.amazon.com/whateveriwrited . Seriously, I couldn't believe it because it was really pathetic. I hope more people use Bing so they can improve it and so we might have an alternative to Google, I mean there's duckduckgo but anyone that has tried to use duckduckgo for a while for serious searches knows the deal. We seriously need Bing to step it up.

Just got a free boat anchor! (and it works)

Hmm, tbh I expected it to be more ugly, most of the computers from that era have gotten really bad with the years....
  13. I remember when I was 9, my friend used Daemon tools to mount an ISO and I thought he was actually creating new storage. He tried to explain it to me, but I couldn't get it, for me it was obvious: along the HDD there was that new magical thing with 4 new gigabytes!
  14. Not sure if this would work for you, but in my case at 14 my family didn't have money for more than food, yet I wanted a computer to play games. So what I did was recollect parts for over almost a year to create my first PC, I got parts that some friends didn't want, also a few from school that they would throw out. After this, I started to trade my parts for others, and basically at 16 I had my first GTX 295 that I traded for my 4670 ATI (this guy really wanted to do crossfire, fine by me). The GTX 295 ended up being too power hungry for my family bimonthly bill of electricity, so after a couple months I traded it for a 6xxx ati, can't recall which one exactly. TLDR: Trade shitty parts for less shitty parts. P.D. I think at some point I had the famous 8800 and after 2 days I broke it somehow, but I don't remember it well. Ha.
  15. I don't care about Android or iPhone, I care about the kind of color processing they do. I own an iPhone SE, it takes really great pictures, but I like more the colors of the OnePlus, I like more a neutral palette. I noticed the iPhone could have more HDR, it blows a couple colors compared to the OnePlus. I really dislike the over saturation of the Galaxy, but I know most people love it, as most people love over saturated everything, as most people like pop songs with volume at 110% for 90% of the song. I'm still happy with my iPhone SE, I don't have the need of creating excuses like "you don't need more" or "I like more my 1080p camera because the photos are smaller" only to be happy with it. I can live knowing I like more the OnePlus. If you made a good purchase you won't feel the need to defend it.
  16. I use Apple Reminders for that, but I think that's not an option for you...
  17. Are you saying I'm lying? Don't know what to say to that, I know there's problems with Razer Blade, but I don't think I have the only Razer Blade in the entire world that can play Overwatch without dropping frames... Jesus, talk about unhelpful answers, I'm glad I also asked on Reddit, that was a lot more helpful
  18. As I said on the post, the point is not how to fix it, the point is if it works by default or not, because IMO if I have to do all of that for the laptop to work properly, I won't buy it. My Razer Blade works perfectly without re pasting. Again, I don't need help on how to fix the laptop, although thanks for trying to help, my question is if someone is actually playing Overwatch on the Dell XPS 15 9560.
  19. Do you see that I wrote about Dave2D not having problems? I even linked the exact minute when he says it... And of course there's nothing special about Overwatch, is just the game Dave2D was playing perfectly, but didn't work for me, but many people play, so is a nice game to ask about more people playing it, also it consumes a good balance of CPU+GPU. Yes I tried clean Windows, is the VRM, is documented via the sensors. The question remains the same, if there's more people out there playing Overwatch in this laptop, then mine was faulty and I had so bad luck searching for people that I didn't find no one Can you explain why you link that? If it's for the fix, as I said on the post, I already tried the VRM. Didn't work. Anyway, thanks for trying to help guys, but the solution is to prove I got a faulty one. So, is there anyone out there playing Overwatch with this laptop?
  20. Yes, the problem is the VRM, is well documented, that's why I want to know if there's actually someone playing Overwatch with this machine. Thanks for trying to help, but I have clarified all of this in the post, in the more info section. There's only one important thing remaining: checking if you can actually play Overwatch without power throttling. If there's someone that actually is doing it, I'll buy a brand new one from Dell. More info, for the people that is gonna say to me to do these things: - Yes, I changed the thermal compound of CPU and GPU, that lowered the CPU from 98 degrees celsius into 75, what the heck Dell? Of course, that didn't do nothing for the VRM throttling, so... - Yes, I tried using thermal pads on the VRM, it got worse, I thought it was I was using too much restricting the air flow, so tried with less, same result, what the heck Dell? - Yes, the laptop could breath perfectly, I even tried with a cooling pad even if they are all so shit and placebo - I undervolted and lowered the the clocks to try and stop the processor from sucking so much watts, same result, and also, at this point, after all this tweaks, what the heck Dell? The laptop should plain work without all this tricks.
  21. TLDR: Is there anyone out there using a Dell XPS 15 9560, playing Overwatch, without any throttling? (thermal, power, etc) Hi everyone. I recently bought a Dell XPS 15 9560 and tested it with Overwatch, it power throttles like crazy in about 10 minutes dropping CPU into 0.8ghz. Using the searcher I found this which seems to be having the some problem, and in fact searching on Reddit there's more people with this problem. Now, I know, there's always people with these kind of problems on ANY laptop, however, usually you also find people saying "I didn't have any problems, played for 1 hour without throttling". Reviews from Linus and Dave2D also declare there's no throttling while gaming, only on benchmarks. I liked the Dell XPS 15 9560, but the throttles made me return it, and my intention was getting a brand new one directly from Dell (the one I bought was refurbished). However as I said, I can't seem to find people declaring things like "I've been playing for 1 hour at Overwatch without problems", other than reviewers like Linus, Dave2D and a couple more that magically seems to have no problems. I have a Razer Blade that in some circumstances will throttle a bit, which is acceptable as long as you can keep doing what you were doing, the Dell was freaking out at 5 minutes into a match, jumping from 60fps to 15fps because the CPU got lock at 0.8ghz until I restarted Windows. Thank you everyone
