  1. Umm, you do realize that if you eliminate all coastal cities from the face of the earth the entire world economy would just collapse and you'd be trapped in a technological and economical dark age....but to be fair to your point completely dry.

why would you think an economic collapse would lead to a technological dark age?  that makes as much sense as "If you run out of food everything will die!"

  2. Well if that gets you 11 years what do we give to people supplying them weapons? Weapons that are no doubt comming from the US anyway

yea ISIS has tons of US weapons, but the US never gave them to any.  what they have they took from Iraqs army when they first came into Iraq and their army either surrendered and was executed, ran away or fought poorly and died.

  3. Yes he was an idiot, but IMO 11 years is harsh. Should have been like 5 years or something.

    no he got off easy.

11 years of simple internet monitoring for helping, and helping someone join, group who practices rape and murder as much as the US army practices driving.  remember according to ISIS its ok to take a 9 year old as a slave force her to marry you so you can rape her.  plus they pretty much shoot any fighter who surrenders to them. they have murdered thousands of surrenders soldiers.  plus murdering people who try to tell them not to do those things. or how bout beating women who they deem not "modest" enough.

he's a piece of shit who deserves to be killed like every member of isis or supporter.

  4. Yes! I found the little red screw thingy. I'll try with a lower speed to see if that helps!

it will.  when I was bleeding the air out of my system I would pulse my pump from 30% (what I normally run it at) power to full to help dislodge air pockets.

foam isn't going to hurt you loop unless theres' so much that it air locks your pump

  5. Thorium isn't naturally fissionable though.  It's more expensive.  The problem is that it also creates nuclear waste, more than Uranium.

"thorium isn't naturally fissionable" true that's what makes it safer then uranium or PU reactors. no runaway reaction.

"Its more expensive"  if you factor then environment into things coal is more expensive then nuclear.

"it also creates nuclear waste, more then uranium"  depending on what type of reactor your using this could be true. (I'm not a nuclear engineer, but I don't think you are either) but current style uranium fuel rod reactors only use a tiny portion of the fuel in a rod, (0.5% of the uranium in a rod is consumed before its considered spent IIRC).

the problem with using current nuclear plants for power is they are all based on a tech line that was focused on creating something that exploded.  not on something that is safe.

  6. So a person can have his private information made harder to find on the internet by asking?  I don't understand why this is "controversial"...

because in Russia this will include public officials, and its not  just private information, it's that Google wont return any results as relevant.  its basically means you wont be able to use Google  to look up any stories about shady dealings of public officials in Russia.  its basically turning Russian google into something more like china's version of it.

  7. snowden  may not be a "hero" but I think "heroes" as a concept are ridiculous.  but I think what he did was very admirable, considering he knew it would make him incredibly powerful enemies.

as other people in this thread have said anyone who thinks he's a traitor is either delusional, ignorant or so authoritarian in their world view as to be un-American themselves.

  8. Stock cpu cooler does come with thermal pad. So i don't see any problem here.

those are not thermal pads, that's just grease

thermal pads are good for using in between ram/vrm/mosfets and their heat sinks or similar low heat output items.

and these being 6.0w/mk aren't even high performance pads.

  9. higher FPI will require higher fan speeds, the thicker the rad the lower the FPI (some have higher then others but that depends on brand).   the best rad I know for thickness/cooling/fan speed is the alphacool st30 line, great performance for a slim rad across a wide range of fan RPMs.

how hard it is to do something really depends on how capable you are at doing similar things. for some its not very different then what they do professionally.  some people who cant even use hammer properly would have more trouble.

risks are covered in the FAQs.

as for cost, the cooler it looks the more it will cost.
