  1. I want to be able to be able to connect my iPhone to my TV so I can mirror the screen. I have heard that the only way the iPhone can do that is through an Apple TV. Is this true, and how well does it work? Let me know if there is another alternative as well.
  2. Thanks for all the explanations! I was sad to see it go but had a good time with the tear down.
  3. I found a computer in my house which, if I remember correctly, was the first one my family had. The parts are all dated 1994 or 1995 which would make sense with what I remember. I am scrapping it so I wanted to remove the hard drive and figured I would share some of the interesting finds. The motherboard had two Intel PCI chipsets and a Cyrix processor. I found it interesting that the CPU used an AMD style mount but the board had Intel chips (if anyone has an explanation I would be interested). Memory was in the same format as the modern DIMMs but they were labled as "SIMM" slots and went in on an angle and then stood up instead of being pushed down into the slot. I'm not sure who made the video card but it had a single RCA style video out, along with a S-Video and VGA. The sound card was actually the largest add in card in the computer. It had three RCA outs and a serial connector similar to a VGA but bigger. As this was the mid 90s, there was no onboard ethernet (there actually was no IO on the board at all) so the computer had this PCI ethernet card. I was also amused that it was made in Canada. In addition to an optical drive, the computer had a 3.5 inch floppy drive and this 5.25 inch floppy drive. I actually remember "gaming" on disks that size. We had the hard drive "updated" to this massive 8.4GB drive later in the life of the computer.
  4. Walt Disney Imagineering and Epic Games are using the Unreal Engine to develop the new Millennium Falcon ride for Star Wars Land. "When the new Milennium Falcon attraction launches, riders will enter a cockpit powered with a single BOXX chassis packed with eight high-end NVIDIA Quadro P6000 GPUs, connected via Quadro SLI. Quadro Sync synchronizes five projectors for the creation of dazzling ultra-high resolution, perfectly timed displays to fully immerse the riders in the world of planet Batuu." https://www.orlandoparksnews.com/2018/03/walt-disney-imagineering-partners-with.html
  5. Thank you for the condolences and thanks for your help.
  6. My father passed away in June and my family is still going through his things and we found his Galaxy tablet. The problem is the password we thought he had on it is not working. Does anyone know a way to reset the password or get around it somehow?
  7. Thanks for your help guys. I didn't even think of the SATA I vs. SATA III.
  8. I have some HDDs and SSDs from old computers that I thought I had everything off of. As you can guess, I did not. Does anyone know of a good SATA to USB converter? I was thinking of getting this one http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00FDLCTQO/ref=mp_s_a_1_2?qid=1461012117&sr=1-2&refinements=p_85%3A2470955011%2Cp_n_feature_keywords_three_browse-bin%3A6022603011%2Cp_72%3A1248879011&pi=SY200_QL40&keywords=sata+to+usb&dpPl=1&dpID=41kSzewhamL&ref=plSrch
  9. I use mine online all the time and haven't had a problem. As far as I know, the encryption is the same if you are using a credit card or a debit card.
  10. I hate and love the drink vending machine at work. I hate it because it never takes my bills and forces me to exchange it for coins in the snack machine. On the other hand, a little persuasion by my 6'6" tall partner usually results in 4-5 free waters or iced teas.He actually got 13 one time.

  14. Not really a review but maybe something with the benchmarking programs you use (Cinabench, AIDA64, etc.). You use them all the time but I would like to see how to set up for a benchmark and how they work.
  15. Do you prefer to go through sites like Amazon and NewEgg or go straight through the manufacturer when possible?
  16. Pay off student loans for my wife and I, buy a house, and give some to family. I would also donate to my firehouse and ambulance I am part of and some other worthy causes (environment/animal protection, etc.). The rest I would save and enjoy. I think I would still work part time though.
  17. Is there a difference between watching the videos on YouTube vs. Vessel? Do they have the same videos?
  18. Yea I did that but it didn't help. It is an old laptop so it is all entirely possible that its just glitching.
  19. My laptop is running Windows 7 and when I try to launch the task manager it cuts off the tabs at the top so I can't switch to other things like "Performance". It always just shows me "Processes". Does anyone know what might be causing this or how to fix it?
  20. I have not had a desktop since I was young. When I went to college I used two different laptops over the years and now I want to try to build my own computer. I would love to win a SSD because I feel like it is a must for any computer now.
  21. That's what I thought it was but wasn't sure.
  22. I have noticed in a lot of videos Linus keeps pressing a button on what looks like a calculator he keeps in his pocket. Any idea what it is?
  23. I was dissapointed with the Panthers preformance but Denver played very well. ^ I also agree
