  1. I would prefer not! I miss the days when we could cross the boarder without having our identification checked. Having to cross with a passport now is bullshit.
  2. Democracy is the core of our civilization. Being able to prove that your a citizen in good standing is necessary to ensure the effectiveness of voting for all citizens. If people who do not qualify to vote are allowed to vote due to lax identification requirements the people who pay for the government are getting screwed.
  3. Star Wars is a drama/fantasy set in a science fiction universe where the technology plays very little role in story telling. Star Trek is a episodic drama in a science fiction universe where the technology is an integral part of telling a story of where we(as a species) might be in the future. It was always intended to be as grounded in reality as the story telling process allowed. Certainly a fair amount of fantasy in Star Trek, no question there. Between the two universes, Star Trek offers us a vision to build towards. Star Wars offers only a great story. Later Star Treks, especially DS9 were much further away from having a vision of our future and became more about story telling.
  4. I wonder if I can get my money back. I've long since given up on SC.
  5. Do you know Trump personally, or just know what the media feeds you? Future telling has nothing to do with facts, so you're out to lunch on this subject.
  6. Yet you don't think starting a conversation with someone who would prefer to be left alone is not rude?
  7. I'm excited. I didn't watch new top gear after Clarkson was canned.
  8. MS-Dos 6.22 - The pinnacle of PC OS's. MacOS 8 was the last MacOS I had, I didn't want to transition to OSX.
  9. Cast Iron Pan + Butter + RibEye Steakums + constant flip method makes the second best steak. The best is cooked over a cherry wood fire.
  10. The part that really pissed me off was that signed drivers for win7/8 have to be used as unsigned in win10... Everytime win10 updated it would eliminate my unsigned drivers... that I need. I would certainly give win10 a go again if MS respected my privacy and the fact that I paid for the hardware in my computer. I really want to switch to ubuntu as my primary OS, but the CAD/CAM software I use is proprietary and windows only. Almost all of the games I play have Linux versions.
  11. Well you're entitled to that opinion, it's not a risk I would take.
  12. Not really. You'd have to be a damned fool to remove a battery that is in the process of melting down. I don't know enough about the reaction, but if it starts, inside the case of the phone is probably the easiest and safest way to contain and manage the situation.
  13. My wife is an ESL Snob. It's terrible to be corrected by someone who wasn't raised English speaking.
