So what I'm trying to do here is use a stock LGA 1150 heatsink, on an LGA 775 mobo. I've managed to get all of the pins secured through the PCB, and the copper surface seems to be making contact with the CPU, so will this thing work or should I look for a proper heatsink?

Or you could just update the BIOS on an H81.
