  1. Ah I see some of those. That may be what it was. I'll have to check what gen block I have but I think I have the one mentioned in their posts. Absolute shame to be selling that cooler and killing cards. At least EVGA is good about it. May get those standoff replacements and give it another go.
  2. Yeah that's what I figured. How to do it is not really an issue I'm more concerned with not having any clue what killed the other. May just send it and do it again then if for some reason the card doesn't display after that roll with one of my backups till next gen and pick up a hydro. We will see. Thanks man!
  3. Hello all, been awhile. Long story short I have a full custom loop rig, 2x360mm rads, with only my cpu included in the loop rn. I would like to include my GPU(EVGA RTX 3080 FTW ultra) and I tried to install my EKWB block/back plate. The card was functional before hand(tho with some thermal issues and other strange things throughout its life, ticket history, but that's a different story) . After installing the block it no longer output video(everything else worked, even in diags, fans spun up, rgb worked, gpu heated up, etc). I couldn't figure out what was wrong with it, so I sent it off to EVGA with full info about what happened and they couldn't figure it out either. No mistakes were made as far as I know during installation, and I've done like 8-10 gpu blocks before, never on a 30xx series evga board, but EVGA replaced my card with a refurb as they couldn't figured out what happened and the cards prior problems, just charged me a fee for the aftermarket work that had been done to the card. I'd rather not make the mistake again purely out of the "these are hard to get" factor, not really a money thing I just feel bad, is there any reputable companies that will install a waterblock for a fee, or any people that are reputable that would be willing to do it for a fee? Apologies if this is for some reason against the rules to ask or something, Thanks in advance!
  4. Totally understand that! I'm hoping to do the same with the XS that replaced my dead 7. Best of luck to ya man
  5. Mine did the same thing after a few years of pretty hard use. My battery was really not doing so hot even before that though(I keep my phone on a wireless charger throughout most the day which is a bad habit but still. Even on my iphone 7 I had a case that added wireless charging) I replaced my battery with a cheap china battery which seemed to make this issue go away for a few months, it then died all together. It may be time for a replacement.
  6. Man it's been a long time since I've been on here! How's everyone doin?

  7. SO it's been awhile and hope this is the right place but here goes, need some assistance lol. I live stream, and I have a ton of hardware and sort of a strange setup, I'll try my best to explain and post some pictures. But I am having USB resource issues(running out) and it randomly axes hardware to make up for it. Please note: I am down to replace hardware, move things around usb wise, but the pc needs to stay behind me. I have a sit stand desk with my pc on a shelf behind me, and a long umbilical(that's what I call it) leading back to my tower. It works great, I have my 3 display port cables leading to my desktop tower and 2 USB 3.0 cables leading back to my motherboard, with high speed powered docks on the desk, each plugged into their own usb controller according to my motherboards manual. When I plug things in it will freeze windows and say there is not enough usb resources, my camera will freeze and then its just random which usb device gets killed off. I will list all my usb devices and try to be descriptive. Biggest reason I want to get this sorted is I am ordering a Go XLR soon and don't want to cause more issues. Now the easy answer is to get a USB add-in card, plug some crap into that. And I agree, that would be simple and might fix my issue. But they all look like shit haha, and I've gone to great lengths to have my pc look good(to me, screw anyone else lmao), so am trying to avoid that unless its the only option. I am curious if a newer gen motherboard might fix my issue, or if I'd run into the same crap. Here are my specs and the usb devices that are plugged into data: USB Hubs: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00GSLMTQ8/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00VDVCQ84/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Here are my specs: USB Hardware:
  8. One life 7 Days to Die stream tonight! 7 PM mountain time :D

I'll only post this once! I was told I need to branch out more when I play smaller games so here goes :D

I am planning to stream from 7pm mountain time until I either die or get off and will start again tomorrow. I will be playing on a random gen solo game with the Warrior difficulty, taking time to engage the chat and just hang out.

See you there I hope :)

  9. It wont connect with the proper adapter? I can't watch the video at work. I think I had this stand, or a similar one when I had my blue snowball, and you just need that adapter I mentioned.
  10. Something like this; https://www.amazon.com/CAMVATE-Female-Thread-Adapter-Microphone/dp/B01GYTGW3E/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1548778700&sr=8-5&keywords=mic+screw+adapter
  11. EVGA makes good psu's, I've used them a ton. I don't know what others are using these days but I have corsair in all my machines without issue. The Evga might still have warranty on it if you confirm it's bad. Even if you don't have a receipt or anything they'll probably still work with you on it. Sorry for the delayed response
  12. Have him make sure ALL the plugins are properly plugged in. If the PC was working before and hasn't been moved this is likely not the issue. I'd say its the PSU. If it was the CPU or really anything else you'd likely get some sort of response from the PC.
  13. Well in a sense if you don't replace the fans the card is already dead ey? In all seriousness, replacing the fans on some cards is just simply unplugging and re-plugging in new fans after taking off the cooler, some thermal paste and patience and you're good. Either way I completely understand. Just figured I'd recommend it, I replaced some fans on an old 680 back in the day, only cost like 20 bucks and brought the card back to life.
