  1. He wants to develop games with Unreal engine and game as well probably at 1440p. I really wanted to squeeze the gtx1070 in there and the case does not matter much as he does not care much about aesthetics. I hesitated to use a ryzen cpu but felt uneasy about the lack of performance with newer games and he did as well. Any improvements that could cut back on costs would be welcome. I am thinking about looking at a cheaper power supply as he does not need a modular one, however knowing how important a PSU I am not quite sure which other one could come into consideration. Thank you in advance
  2. No sadly, thanks to Microsoft's dirty policies, you are stuck with having your machine 'forcefully' updated. That is one of the many reasons why I updated my Home version to a Pro.
  3. I personally prefer the pro version because of the Group Policy Editor. I just love the flexibility it gives me. Furthermore as another user mentioned before me, the ability to postpone updates. But honestly if it weren't for gaming, I would use Linux 100 per cent of the time.
  4. nah happens to the best for us good luck with your Rainmeter setup
  5. The download link for this is in the upper right corner of the page .... -> download 4.3 MB
  6. I only happens when you are in the basement right? And to maybe have an idea of what is going on you could try to create a WIFI heat map with either a laptop or a phone. Might help explain what is happening in your house and then later will indicate the best spot to put wireless repeaters or whatever device you wish to use to extend your range.
  7. I second that. I had a similar phase and because my family asked me to, I build a NAS for them. This introduced me to a complete new realm of technologie and from there I started many more projects.
  8. You can maybe just look at the clock speeds of the RAM sticks you have, all the RAM sticks will run at the clock speed of the RAM stick with the lowest clock speed. But unless you have a very sloooooow RAM stick, everything should be fine.
  9. Maybe the Fractal Design Define S might be something for you, there is a version with a window that is slightly more expensive. However it is made out of plexiglas if I remember correctly, which gets scratched very easily. I personally really like the very 'modest' look of this case :).
  10. SO a few questions to narrow your choices down: 1. Do you want to mount an optical drive 2. What is the size of your motherboard 3. Do you want a side panel window? 3. Do you water cool? 4. Any specific requirements?
  11. Ouch that is quite a bummer. By the sound of it, it really is a motherboard or a PSU problem. If you have other components at your disposition, maybe try to test all other components to really eliminate any other potential culprits. Maybe boot with one RAM stick in different RAM slots, change the power supply, try to boot without your GPU. Otherwise just RMA that board Edit: Other idea, maybe try to install the newest BIOS if possible.
  12. No, I do not think it is necessary but if of course you have access to other zelda games it might be interesting to experience them. My personal favourite is Majora's Mask but it is quite perculiar, if you are a complete Zelda noob I think it would be best to start with ocarina of time or why not Wind Waker. Enjoy
  13. So to answer your question, yes enermax is as far as I know a good brand. But even though this is entirely up to you, I would say that 750 watt is overkill. Furthermore I think that there are other power supplies out there for 100 euros that are as good as this one or even better. Viel Glück
  14. I had a problem like that recently, after testing every single component and came to the conclusion it was my PSU. When I got ia new from corsair, everything worked fine. So it might be your cpu overheating as 99% is quite high but the PSU is also an option. I would first try to change the thermal paste to see if that does the trick and then move on to further troubleshooting.
  15. wow, that video was quite impressive (nice professional editing and . I have so many ideas on how this projector could be used: playing some rocket league with my brother at night time in our basement ^.^ and of course bringing some friends along. (Oh and I would definitely use it to play bird videos on my walls so my cats can jump on them without destroying my TV or PC monitor XD).
