  2. how many normal people do you know using Z wave or zigbee? I don't know any. man I'm digging into 2018 or so trying to remember what the Electrical and audio engineer I was under was talking about both standards.
  3. most people I know don't buy the hubs given the price, you can 99% of the functionality with an old PC or single board computer and a 10$ antenna its a fairly open standard you can't claim to work with it and then go well we only work with these hubs

  10. If you just need it for one event I’d just rent a decent unit and sticks.if the goal is to film quite a few in a year every year get the budget for something decent and spend the cash once.
  11. 5700x, 64gb of ram and a extra 140mm noctua industrial fan is on the way

I've got a B550A vision D already and I've got all the spare parts to make my side of the road 750D find work.
GF ends up with a 2700x 32gb of ram, GTX 970 in my old 350D.

  12. I don't need 64gb of ram but really tempted to get it as part of a 5700x upgrade.

if I had money for lenses right now the Fuji 10…

nothing for my X-S10 right now, just a 16-80F4 and a helios44 on my older canon crops I ran a 75-300 sometimes my friends 70-200 F2.8
  17. if I had money for lenses right now the Fuji 100-400 and 150-600mm are so tempting
do I trade needing 1 stop more light and a tighter start for the much tighter zoom idk. they are pretty close in weight but a used 100-400 is going to be 400-500$ cheaper.

If you have a helios, you probably have access to other soviet lenses?

Tair-3S is a really good 300mm F4.5 tele that is like 50€, but it weights actually 2kg. It doesn't have optical stabilization, but you have ibis.

Jupiter 37A / jupiter 11 is 135mm F3.5, and it is actually sized decently, fits perfectly on fuji cameras. Jupiter had some cheap 200mm lenses too

  19. I'll tag @CPotter just to make sure this is an approved one. Brands have been know to do it without asking but I'd hope LG didn't do that.
  20. I've started ordering parts but not the CPU and ram yet for a rebuild of my PC into a 750D, my old 350D will keep the CPU,ram, MB with my very old 970 and a new PSU.
This week I get to fix at least 2 PC, my parents and a friends who both are randomly shutting off

EV vehicles are a good thing long term, but how…

well most EV charging should be a night where there is spare capacity during the day fast charger don't take that much power. yeah 350KWH seems like a lot but that isn't going to be used 24/7
