  1. Does anyone else do this? I've had this case for almost a decade and I love it! It's been home to at least 5 builds and many generation upgrades over the years, and the various badges I've accumulated over the years are still being added to. As an update: The DVD drive is not there bar the front cover. The reason for its inclusion, though? Well, I'm sentimental and the first PC I ever bought new, in 2008, had a LightScribe drive, which since died and I chose to mod it into my build.
  2. A couple of my older retro iMacs: The G3 was bought about 6 months ago for a shade under £100 and the eMac is actually a one owner, boxed example which I got for £125 (including shipping) with a bunch of useful software too. I use both of these machines rather often and the screen on the eMac is seriously amazing and has a max refresh of 139Hz at 800x600 and the lowest is 72Hz. I have a lot of other retro tech as well, I'll try and post some more here in time, and even have a Socket A machine which is used almost daily for games and the like. As a side-note: The eMac weighs over 20KG/roughly 50 lbs, and it has caught me out more than a few times. It's definitely a chunky little machine.
  3. And this is my eMac which I bought, box and all, from a fellow on eBay who had it from new back in the early 2000s and the screen on this is beautiful! Runs at 139 Hz (I think I'm correct there, but I may be off slightly) at its 800x600 resolution and I believe 72 Hz at its maximum resolution, which looks amazing! As you can likely tell by my other posts, I love retro technology and have a few PCs as well (Retro-Eleven which is my bedroom PC, Arpy which is my main PC and is my profile header, Retro-Cube which is a tiny little PC with a GTX 580 in it and a few other PCs and laptops such as my Surface Pro 4). I also draw a fair bit too, hence my avatar, and I love anything gaming. 😁

  4. I'm wanting to post more here as sharing pictures is also a hobby of mine, be it in the real world or games. This is my iMac G3 which I got about 6 months ago, and it's running Mac OS 9.1 which runs alongside Mac OS X. It's a beautiful machine and was actually far cheaper than any other at the time or since at I believe a shade under £100. 😁

You should post in the Retro PC thread. There's a surprisingly large community of retro PC enthusiasts on the forum.

  5. Sorry for the super late reply! That is an awesome old PC, my dude! I think the oldest one we have working here is a Socket A. Still need to get into the older stuff than even that, and would love to get my paws on a 486 at some point. Both myself and my brother have been amassing a growing collection of vintage tech, too. It's amazingly fun and wholesome, too.
  6. Very true! I must admit that even though it was not the best, I had some awesome times on that old PC. It's one of those CPUs that I remember being awful but... well, it got me into building and collecting.
  7. I'm currently watching a video on LTT about the worst CPU ever and I had to post this. It's an AMD Phenom 9500 and I did indeed daily this thing in a budget HP PC from 2008 to 2013 where I managed to build my own PC with an i5 3470 which, compared to this is a rocket-ship! So yeah, played WoW on this, raided and had to look at the ground to get 9 FPS on Elegon and listen out for his audio because I couldn't look up. I'm now a much more accomplished builder and have various PC's under my belt (both sold and personal) and this is what started it all. Rocky start is something of an understatement! :D

  9. Got this a few months back from a guy who never ended up using it and I love it! It was just over £100 and compared to it's £160+ price tag when new, I'm pretty darn happy!

Well, it took a while but I have finally upgrad…

Even on their website, it has the typo. What in the heck?! I don't know whether to find it amusing or annoying to my OCD... likely both heh. https://kolink.eu/Home/psu-1/continuum-series/kolink-continuum-psu---1500w---80-plus-platinum---modular-.html Edit: Checked the specs and it's listed correctly on the manual. Definitely a weird thing to see on a PSU (at least in my experience).

I never caught that! I had to look it up and even on Overclockers UK the pictures have the same typo! O.O Nice catch! :D
  12. Well, it took a while but I have finally upgraded the last part of my main PC with a nice PSU. I am beyond happy! 😄

There's a typo on the label where it says 125W instead of 125A for 12V.

You definitely live up to your name.

  13. Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 5G is certainly an upgrade over my old S10 and the contract is cheaper too so definitely a happy person! 😄
