Home lab update. I rearranged the rack so that all external connections except for poe, goes to the back of the rack. I put a pro-curve switch back there. All internal connections go to the front of the rack. Eventually I will have a separate network closet for the devices outside the rack. The rack will have one connection to that network closet. The rack will be in its own server closet with an AC unit, and a passive vent system in case of power failure.

Rack Update:
I replaced the main PDU I was using (just a glorified power strip) with a switched Triplite PDU. This PDU has two imputs in where it can fail over, reportedly, in less than a 7ms. I have tested the switch and confirmed that my systems do not shutdown during the switch. I have the primary power connected to my UPS. The secondary is connected to the mains. Ideally I will connect it to a second UPS but its not a priority atm. For now, this will protect from the UPS failing and causing the systems from shutting down. This PSU also has an AMP meter on the front for power monitoring. There is also management features I have not explored yet. The PDU is the Tripp-Lite PDUMH15ATNET

I got an ebay 3090 FE for cheep. I put it on an EK WB. It replaces my 1080 ti. The WB came first and is really heavy. I laser engraved and cut some clear acrylic to use as a support bracket.
I may upgrade the two fan rad with a three fan rad to account for the extra heat. In my testing, most of the games i played, really only got up around 65c on the hotspot, but a few did get to 80c.
As for the extra memory of the 3090, I tested some of my larger blender projects and It is awesome. Its gunna make my creation process easier. Optix is really cool.
The CPU is a core i7 11700K.
Ram is 32GBs 3600
