I guess its fair for that anectdotal statement to apply to both of us. Even then though, I think the most important issue for me is the ad targeting. Wish I'd be able to see more of ltt ads.

Those ads arent that bad I agree but in my experience before I started using adblock on YT, I've seen ads noticeably longer than those ads listed, at times aren't skippable. But tbh, i'd be at least be more tolerant towards those ads if YT targeted ads that fitted my interests. Maybe that has changed over the months who knows.

Very rarely do I get into LTT forum discussions (because it's funnier to see people fight about apple or nfts) but this I feel like hits closer to home since yes I do use adblock. I'll give my own input on this Do I use it all the time? No. If the site has non-obtrusive ads (banner ads that don't fking cover up your entire screen telling you to play raid shadow legends) and the ads aren't scams or full of malware if accidentally clicked on whether the site itself is legit or not, I will hands down turn off my adblock and whitelist the sh*t out of that site. As for sites like YT, I honestly wouldn't have a problem not using adblock if they were not only short ads but most importantly, RELEVANT to my interests. In which in my own experience, I rarely ever get ads that catered to my interests on YT (like the awesome LTT ads that I honestly like getting though they were very rare). Most of the time I get either irrelevant ads or ads that are just scammy as hell. Hey maybe I'm just unlucky. I honestly don't think I'm immoral based on the reasoning here but hey maybe I'm just too paranoid. As for the legality argument, I'll leave it to the people who understand it the most whether it'd be people for or against the argument. And if it comes out that I'm actually a pirate 100 percent for using adblock, well so be it but I doubt I will be in a courtroom anytime soon. Also this would make it my first instance of actually being a pirate /s Also there is one point here that caught my attention that some users have made. That being the find another site argument. Which can work and not work. Sure you can find easy alternatives for certain sites but on the other side of the coin, what if there is no good alternative like for example, YT? No site will ever reach the quality that YouTube has even with the problems that many users have with the platform, it is for better or worst the best we have. Anyway my 2 cents and I'm going to keep using my adblock and disable it for sites that deserves my clicks like LTT forums.

Update: After he got the rtx 2060, it seems that his performance got SIGNIFICANTLY BETTER (obviously) and the lag (aside from the temp rendering lag) is gone! So all good for now.

It is running on the system m2 ssd that windows is installed on. Now that I think about it, might want to try to install on the 2nd sata SSD that he has.

Also he is already planning to upgrade to an rtx 2060 gpu since it is on sale. Is it worth it to keep troubleshooting or just wait?

Yeah I was looking at some videos benchmarking the game with similar specs and they ran fine. I will probably disable igpu just to ensure that isn't causing the issue. He isrunning the quest 2 headset. 1.never touched the power limit in any sort of fashion afaik 2. tried with all the stuff in the background disabled, no change 3. verified game files, same thing. Haven't tried reinstalling the vr and gpu drivers yet but will gave that a shot Will try to see if uninstalling steamvr works. I reduced the resolution of the quest 2 headset and it seemed to somewhat help EDIT: also realized that during further testing, his game runs fine at times and it seems that the game randomly fps drops to 10-20 badly and start stuttering. So there is some weird issue here.

So my brother has been getting 10-20 fps on the lowest VR settings with his VR system when playing half life alyx and other VR games. I'm wondering if the system is just not powerful and being held back by a component. Specs: -i7 7700 -rx 580 8gb << might be the issue -16gb ddr4 2800mhz RAM Included info gathered from hwmonitor and task manager -cpu usage 60-90 at 4ghz clock speed -cpu temps 60-70 degrees -gpu is 70-80 degrees + 60 to 80 percent usage -ram is 86-95 percent usage While the temps are high, I don't see any unusual signs of it overheating and other nonvr games work just fine.

I'm using the preinstalled front and rear fans of the p400a case (not rgb aka digital version) with no added fans

So I the cooler came with 2 fans and I'm wondering if the cooler with both fans will not just only fit my p400a case (with preinstalled fans on the rear) but make a noticeable difference in cooling/temps?

Yeah i just want to make sure my new cpu doesn't throttle and stay under 85 degrees The case is the p400a, which supposedly has great airflow. I just want to make sure that it can game esp. On intensive games and do other multitasking stuff just fine without overheating and throttling. No OC is going to happen with the pc

However the evo is still a great cooler though?

Also i realize that there are different versions of the cooler like black, rgb etc. What's the difference between them aside from looks
