  1. SOLVED: PSU was bad lol MOBO: Asus H170-pro https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/H170-PRO/HelpDesk_Manual/ PC was sleeping, wouldn't wake up from keyboard or mouse input (it usually does), pressed power button, it turned off. Pressed power button again, LED's in case are still off, ethernet light on and flashing, and a power indicator led on the motherboard is on. I looked up what the light meant and it means the pc is on, sleeping, or everything in-between. BEEPS: chapter 2. (side note, if the order in which this information is being delivered seems strange, its actually just chronologically delivered to me from texting my girlfriend figuring this shit out. This is for my gf's pc). So, the pc normally beeps 3 times. I had a really hard time finding anything on it in the manual, but I implore the reader to make an attempt for me. So, normally it beeps 3 times, but Now there are no beeps. Fans . . . y o t h i s f o n t k i n d a s i c k (Pleas forgive me if the formatting of this post is annoying, i'm just really bored and wannted to make a hella old-school styled post, Hope you like it :D) Chapter III This is quite a short chapter, as there very few possibilities that could be alluded by such a word: fans. Followed by a drawn out ellipses as well. And one of these possibilities is of course the truth, and it is that fans normally spin upon turning the pc on, and now they do not. Thank you very much everyone. Cables, Chapter IV (sorry if colors are hard to read, but i'm on dark, dark mode and it's pretty readable.) So this chapter is about those things we really never assume are failures and it is quite shocking if one is fucked up. (exept for any cable to due with audio). Her pc was powered by a cable plugged into a extension cable which had multiple other devices plugged in (not sure of specifics) which was plugged into the wall. I asked her to plug the PSU directly into the wall and for whatever reason she said she can't. We also did plenty of frolicking with the power and reset button, PSU cords, and PSU button. Nothing changed. Chapter V: Shadow of the Sun Something I've always had great distaste for is when a beautiful moment is tainted by an adjacent sour memory. It is quite a painful experience. For every shining sight under the sun there is a dark and deep shadow somewhere. The end. So yeah if yall have any ideas pls drop em..
  2. Oh I refreshed and got a new one with priority of "warning" and says B-INIT-RNG Failure - retries exceeded
  3. Lmk if it's too hard to Read. I also tried rebooting from the website and it rebooted and same thing happened. There's also a factory reboot option. Is that a good idea? I asked Cox to send a refresh signal. They said they did but nothing happened to the modem
  4. My modem is a Netgear CM1000 Yesterday the internet went out, I restarted the modem and now the upstream light is flashing, internet light is off, the other lights are solid green. My dad called Cox, they told him we need a new modem. Does any one know if theres something I can do? This was a 150 dollar modem we got less than a year ago and I don't want to believe it just failed one day. SOLVED: I HATE COX SUPPORT Bought 200 dollar new modem, Still didn't work. Did some re-connecting of my coax cablees, turns out one of the splitter's was bad. We didn't need all the splitters anyway, so i hooked it with a different splitters and like magic it worked.
  5. I have a viewsonic XG24... and it is a bit too bright with lowest brightness level. I also have an Acer P235H that goes way less bright so im just wondering if there's any way to like under-clock the brightness and make it lower?
  6. Trying to install ubuntu on Oracle VM but after a couple pages in the installation process the window is not scalled right and i can't see the buttons. Help? None of the display buttons do anything, saw that installing a guest addition might help but i get an error saying it can't mount the disk. Any help?
  7. Looking to buy a new chair, main criteria are: All mesh (done having my floor covered in pleather flakes) head rest padded arm rests removable arm rests (not totally needed) Around the $200 range
  8. Pretty sure. It always stutters. Should I cancel my order for new ram?
  9. Ok ran hwinfo. Put results in op. Memory clock is 1200mhz. My ram is advertised as 2400mhz. Idk how this works
  10. Does it stutter on just the desktop? If so then I have the same problem and wish you luck.
  11. I should also mention that no stuttering happens in safe mode. Does this say anything? Also do the memtest results say anything?
  12. I'll get hwinfo when I get home. My memtest results are above if that helps
