intel wireless cards won't work in osx, try to find one from a macbook pro, or a supported broadcom one. (the guys over at tonymacx86 can advice on which one) -
i have a feelting that his will be the sucessor of the titan X instead of a 10x0(ti) card

the g5 imacs don't have the isight camera so you can spot the difference there -
i have had a riser cable from 1x to 16x and the 1x was soldered backwards. so always check the pinout

if you have a spare disk you could connet it with a USB adapter and run it externally (just for testing)

I have used both ssd's and the 950 pro is really fast, it almost feels like the step from a hdd to a ssd. software installs just fly past. something to keep in mind is that the bios from the x99a sli plus is quite slow, so i'm not sure if you will achieve the 5second boot time

i ran all the beta versions of ios 9.3 without issues, and now i am on the "stable release" i have the issue....

Cool idea with the 3d printed mobo mounts, i used the mountain mods mobo tray for my g5.

you can use the headphone out on the amp, often they are amplified as well, although many amps have a high noise floor so that may be noticable. couldn't you set one of the rear outputs on your mobo as (front) headphone output and gain some volume that way

for many things it took me a few attempts to get things how i wanted, and i still want to change some things -
you could look on ebay for an airport card and for a mpcie to pcie adapter (like the silverstone one, they are not the first to make it) that way you will have the most support because it's a real apple part

i have made a g5 mod as well, and indeed the modifications aren't always cheap -
should be perfectly fine. it won't be running at full load all of the time ( at least as a gaming rig)

displayport, and if you have hdmi 2.0 you can do hdmi as well. but displayport is preferable

cool ghetto-ish build. i have used toothpaste as thermal paste in the past as well, but it dries out after a few days... but as a temporary fix it works great and it smells nice and minty -

the 25 is 60hz as well, and is the 3h hardness really needed on a desktop monitor? (personally i don't plan on using it as a cutting board )
