  1. If i remember correctly Jay said it would work with the founders edition cards. not a custom pcb one like the golden edition.
  2. you might have to change the scaling mode in your monitor, as it might be set to 1:1. you have to change it to zoom, or fit.
  3. i've had this happen too, but they give excellent support via the contact form. they sent me new skins, and they arrived quickly. half a year later the original skins finally showed up seems like USPS has to figure stuff out...
  4. I think as long as the cooler can support the tdp and has enough surface area it just needs a new bracket
  5. if I remember correctly Nvidia only allows GPU passthrough with quadro/tesla cards, as the drivers will detect it running inside a VM. Of course there are many ways around the issue, but they wouldn't want to show anyone themselves.
  6. Have you forced the video players to use the dedicated gpu? (right mouse button on the application > run with graphics processor > high performance nvidia processor)
  7. a core 2 duo would run a minecraft server decently for 2 people, with 4 gigs of ram. but you couldn't really run other servers at the same time. also the hardware is horribly inefficient by today's standards
  8. looks like it has gotten a bit too toasty
  9. it's a very good psu, you will be absolutely fine. if you're worried though you could go for a psu that disables the fan under lower loads and turns the fan on when load or temperature get's too high.
  10. NV Surround worked since the GTX 500 series (needed 2 in SLI, except for one very special model by galaxy) with the GTX 600 series it was possible to do surround on a single card
  11. it has dual 8 pins, i made the image a bit brighter to see them
  12. you can just use a windows 7, 8, 10 computer and install rdpwrapper. it will give you windows server rdp capabilities on a regular windows install
  13. you could get a usb display adapter, but i think that will cost much more than the pi itself
  14. be careful with a gpu, a friend of mine put a gtx 960 in a prebuilt hp (with a new psu) and the machine refused to post due to incompatibility with the bios. he ended up buying a second hand mobo and then his issue was solved.
  15. make a copy of the drive (just to be sure) and put it into a different machine. Then use paragon adaptive restore (there's a guide here on the forum) to adapt the windows install to the new machine.
  16. if they wanted, they could send the information via another application (look up atom bombing windows) But then the application should be considered malware
  17. I bought my rmbp 15 2015 just a few weeks ago, and 'm happy i didn't wait. The new one is a bit of a downgrade in my opinion (the bar is cool though).
  18. nope, do it! (although maybe sell your 960 and try to get something a bit more beefy)
  19. wow, amazing results already! it's really different from all other builds on here. keep it coming
  20. thank you, that should just about fit into the case. btw, where did you find that information or did you just now it? (just for future reference)
  21. do they get that toasty? they will be used for remote desktop mainly. the only choice for this cpu is the availability here and the fact it has the r7 gpu that supports eyefinity. we want to use eyefinity to combine 2/3 screens and leave one separate so we can span 1 rdp session over 2 screens and 1 over a single one. (something m$ really needs to fix in rdp... because you can choose between 1 screen or all screens...) The small case is because we want to mount it under a desk out of the way (this is combined with a whole renovation where computers need to be mostly invisible) I have been thinking about the larger brother of this case. just in case this would get too toasty. (get it, in case :P) if i cannot find we might have to build just 1 system and bite the bullet on the cooler hight/toastiness. Worst case we have to re use a single 30 euro case for a different purpose.
  22. i need it to be a bit more specific though. the case is the IX-01B from chieftec, and with the hdd bracket installed it allows for about 47mm cooler hight. the noctua low profile cooler si about 37 so i know that that will fit. but if i can save about 50 euros on a cooler i'd like that. (it's for at the office and it will consist out of multiple machines so those 50 euros will add up quickly)
  23. Hey guys, I have a small question about the stock cooler of the a8 7600. I want to fit this into a restricted case and I want to know if I'll have to buy a smaller (noctua low profile) cooler for it. so does anyone know what the stock cooler height is? I can't seem to find it anywhere online cheers!
