My 13 Year Old "iPAQ" (NOT an iPad)

Damn that is still surprisingly snappy compared to even modern phones and their commonly used task.

    Cheap vs. Expensive Gaming!?

I think one of the lower build should have just had the either the Ryzen 3 2200G or the Ryzen 5 2400G using their integrated graphics only. In the Athlete build that is dropping $175 for other parts or just flat savings. Don't really frequently the forum but I wish I did to point this out in the thread Riley made. Here are two massive reddit threads have both being showcased running a myriad if games. https://old.reddit.com/r/buildapc/comments/9ylcrh/ryzen_3_2200g_vega_8_integrated_graphics_gaming/ https://old.reddit.com/r/buildapc/comments/9ui9ii/ryzen_5_2400g_vega_11_integrated_graphics_gaming/
  3. That was rather fun to fun. Don't think I've laughed that hard so many times during a fun LTT video. Still between the fun it had a ton of great moments! I do think some kind of a follow up where Linus and Brandon sit down to review the video/photos would be good. There were quite a few good comments both made during the video that help highlight why you can still take good photos with just a phone now a days. Or why a better camera with adjustable settings can give you that real oomph to a photo. I think this has been done but have Brandon give a brief example with simple photos on different settings between the Pixel3 and the Fuji in that follow up video would be good. Nice job, would watch another 40 minutes.
  4. I think I found my new laptop for when this thing releases.

What Happens When Windows 7 DIES?

Time to reluctantly grab 10 to run the new generation CPU's for a new build... An run a copy of my Win7 in a VM for everything else not internet related. It would be one thing if Win10 was a free product and the telemary crap was the price of it. But no it's fucking paid and they still want more fill it with crap.
  6. Any particular reason to go with the Asus board over the others? I am a bit out of touch with quality since Ryzen was just coming out. I recall the TUF boards back then had the better quality vrm for OCing in the early days for mATX sizes.
  7. My last mATX build ended up never going through but by chance a i9-9900k fell into my hands as a gift in lieu of that. So here I am trying to figure a good board that has good vrm phases for this monster of a CPU. I understand this CPU can use the new 3.0 turbo boost to get up near 5GHz. Then beyond the general turbo boost I don't plan to OC this. It is already well beyond what I am needing it for. From taking a look at what I need and what is available I believe I have 3 good choices that seem to have a decent sized vrm phase layout. At a minimum I need at least x4 SATA 6GB ports. Then 4 RAM slots would be killer since I have a friend getting me solid deal on 32GB. Everything else is pretty much a bonus from there. The 3 boards I have found that the best looking vrm sets ups with cooling; Far as I understand an 8 phase vrm is what you want to aim for to run this CPU and let it do it's thing. Is going to an 8+1+1 or 10+2 that big of a deal for general turbo boost 2/3? Right now feature-wise I am leaning towards the MSI board. Asus TUF Z390M-PRO GAMING (WI-FI) 8+1 with a 8 pin connection. MSI MPG Z390M GAMING EDGE AC 8+1+1 with a 8+4 pin connection. Gigabyte Z390 M GAMING 10+2 with a 8+4 pin connection. Thanks!

This Phone lasts an ENTIRE WEEK

I think a 6k to 8k would fit the current size profiles of phones that most people like while giving that extra oomph QoL.
  9. James is always a delight to watch on the videos. That and it seems like he had a whole lotta fun in this video just tossing stuff at Linus.

Design Your Own CPU!!! SiFive Studio Tour

Awesome to see the progress on this is definitely pushing forward since the last video.
  11. Till we get some top layer lite OS with very limited permissions for use during these "fingerprint/face unlocks" then this tech is a joke.
