Fair enough. It is a norm to have ECC memory paired with Xeons anyway, and, though I haven't read any article regarding AMD's side, I haven't heard any youtubers saying either threadripper or Epyc needed ECC memories in the first place. Interesting. Hopefully AMD resolves this as I am hoping some competition. Just as it is, AMD has shaken Intel, to immediately adjust their roadmap and do a seemingly reckless move just to respond...
-
AMD is beating Intel at its own game. Intel has been marketing more PCI-E Lanes as their marketing point for various price point, and threadripper allegedly and planned to have more than anything else intel offer on a single CPU

How about current games for Windows? Or Benchmarking tools? If GCC is that famous for C++, there should be some studios and companies using it...

if the AMP/DAC directly connected digitally and pull in raw data, it might do better, but if AMP/DAC has analog input from a smartphone output, well, not really improve that much because the original itself not so great anymore. How can it improve if there is no data about it ?

Coca Cola as a water cooling liquid replacement! WHAT??
swizeus replied to jace888's topic in Custom Loop and Exotic Cooling
put it in, upload videos, create sensational vibe, take it out. It is certainly not a long lasting solution- 50 replies

Fair enough, you might want to see LMG's video on Optane to get the feel, how much performance increase you will get for the buck you spend. What I get from the video, Optane started to kick in on the third run, but then again the test run consecutively - I Presume - (Well, it should be, as they are doing nothing other than testing on that machine, but then they don't test retainability, what happen if you run one program 10 times, switch to other program 10x and get back to it). If 128GB SSD deem not worth for you and getting 256GB SSD something you don't want to shell out, Optane might just be for you Intel just got a spot on market
-
IMO, as long as you frequently use data from HDD often enough, optane will kick in. Will it work? Yes, Is it worth it? No. You might as well buy another 128GB SSD just for your games, instead of using architecture constraint optane

If you play the same genre, it might feel pretty much the same. FIFA Battlefield 1 Tomb Raider GTA City Skylines Astroneer Oxygen Not Included Project High Rise SimCity XCom Command & Conquer series Overwatch Crysis We Happy Few Master of Orion Stellaris Those are different games in different Genre

Petabyte project is local storage to store their shoots. Basically their hearts and soul of LMG While Floatplaneclub.com hosted on separate hosting solutions. It is going through cloudflare, perhaps for CDN and anti-DDOS attack but searching through crimeflare, we will get 2 IPs : 2017-03-11: floatplaneclub.com 192.99.29.169 CANADA 2017-03-08: floatplaneclub.com 184.168.221.63 UNITED STATES which, when you do whois turns out Canada IP belongs to OVH hosting and US IP belongs to Go-Daddy So, Yes, LMG Invest heavily on replacing vessel, by creating THEIR own vessel, because YOLO right And because they can, and I think they can have more financial benefit from this, in case YouTube decided to ditch everybody someday. and No, Project Petabyte won't be used for hosting future Float Plane Club or Vessel replacer

wow... the reality is pretty harsh http://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-GTX-970-vs-Nvidia-GTX-1070/2577vs3609 http://gpuboss.com/gpus/GeForce-GTX-970-vs-GeForce-GTX-1070 I guess nVidia does alot to 10xx series GPU compare to previous generation. Since there is a 980Ti, you can compare it with link below : http://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-GTX-980-Ti-vs-Nvidia-GTX-970/3439vs2577 http://gpuboss.com/gpus/GeForce-GTX-980-Ti-vs-GeForce-GTX-970

If you want to be on the most edge of technology, you might as well buy it, but I don't think it is that much faster for video editing, different when you render 3D model with that. Not the best bang for buck Of course, it also depends on how many years you think a system would last and could you spend more for the new ones

http://www.theverge.com/2016/9/28/13081842/mossberg-parallels-12-windows-10-macos-sierra The Verge Just put on an article about Parallels 12 be able to run multiple instances of windows on MacOS Sierra. The review said it is done on Macbook Air, and also includes screenshot of Overwatch running on one of the windows instances, but there are no fps or overhead benchmark done. Would it be possible for LTT to make a video about these benchmarks

I would love to have LG Short throw projector in my dorm room because it is so small and I am currently on mobile, so this projector will be a great fit for me to watch LinusTechTips, Fast as Possible and Channel Super Fun Youtube and Vessel Videos

This think pretty old, they still use north and south bridge. I think this is just a normal two socket AMD CPUs. They say dual AMD just means two socket. Can't remember anything at the back of my head, though

Should I Buy This Titan X SLI Computer?
swizeus replied to junied's topic in New Builds and Planning
The only drawback is the processor though and most likely the memory is not future proof as it is not a DDR4 What is it for then ? and a good point, for used parts that is a hell lot of price tag, try first simulate the same component for today's price- 28 replies

It is kinda a regular. Like watching midnight news on TV before sleeping, but you can be sure that there will be midnight news on the same Channel on their schedule. Me too has been wondering, is it holiday in Canada ? Usually 3PM GMT+8 time, sometimes LTT push it to 4 PM, but it is 8 PM now and still no video

Hey Guys, the writing on the video about : Cooler Master 350 should be US$60+$11.21 Shipping NOT $46 EVGA 960 SSC 2GB minimum US$189 NOT $46 Amazingly, your bottom line is more or less correct. Who is editing this video ? Who calculate it ? Why is Linus's Script flawed

Hello All, Browse a few threads but still confuse about link aggregation. Here is my case: I have 2 separate internet connection that runs through LAN Cable. I just want to join both connection (the aggregate of the connection far below 100Mbps), by aggregating both connection I can get twice the speed in one PC The question will be: 1. What will the cheapest solution ? I see the solution will be either get a NIC that support 2 LAN ports, or get a 802.3ad supported switch. That brings to next question regarding the solution. If according to you i need a 2 ports NIC, What is the cheapest NIC solution for Link Aggregation ? Any recommendation, Intel, which model, or D-Link which model ? If according to you I need a supported switch, what brand and model should I pick ? Please note I need the cheapest solution around Thank you for the answer
